I would like to kick off the welcoming of holiday ebay shoppers with the first official holiday return.
It's for a shirt literally stated as "Dark Green" with a photo in the listing that the buyer chose. Buyer files a SNAD and says the green is very dark. The photo they provided matches the shade shown in the listing. There are other shades of green in that listing "Kelly Green, Light Neon Green, Olive Green".
Happy holidays everyone and to all a good night!

There was a recent post about a customer complaining about the color blue, I don't know what a seller can do about it., If the actual color/shade is known then we can post it, Otherwise is it not good enough to state that it's blue or dark green?, Some people's children.

Green is green unless it's something like Versace...
Basically sellers who are in the business of selling clothes...it's more like doing business as 'clothes on approval' where you can expect returns...or a 'happy camper'.
Too many colors and too many sizes...
Does a seller have to state the color?
When I sell a stamp I do not put the color of it in the description...although eBay does ask for it.
And is it really necessary to state a color when one can see photos of the item as-is.?
Remember when I told you how many men are color blind a while back?

After printing the label and packaging, buyer wanted to cancel the order because they thought it was a DVD.

At least you're not the first eBay seller this year --
To Ruin Christmas. or To Ruin Hanukkah.

Buyer just canceled an order of plates, said they thought they were the bigger dinner plates. It was clearly stated in the title 8 1/2 inch lunch plates, maybe eBay found them a set that was cheaper and that was as good of a reason as any to cancel. Luckily I hadn't started getting them packaged so a couple clicks was all it took to be done with it.

Out of their own mouth eBay says that a color that is a different shade than the image is not considered a SNAD issue. Different screens display colors differently so it's not possible to get an exact match between the item and the image.
They used to say if you ordered blue and they sent red then that would be an entirely different color and therefore snad.
The problem is eBay no longer steps in to decide who is right. If the buyer files a snad you will lose. Asking eBay to decide will only end up getting you a defect for having an unresolved case by the seller.
Merry Christmas.

Lol that was me! Yes, I was totally thinking of that recent post when I wrote this one. I'm all like "what's with this recent surge of returns involving color lately?" First a buyer complains that the Blue I advertised is actually Royal Blue, then this buyer complains that the Dark Green is "dark".

Yes I remember back when ebay used to say that. (Do they still say that nowadays?)
You can probably bet that I've had my share of ebay CS fights over that color shade SNAD issue. I don't think I won many of them, or any at all. The 💩 that comes out of ebay's mouth lol.
