Weird message cancelling order after sale?

I never got a message like this before but an item I’ve been wanting to sell for over a year finally sold but then I got a message sayin g eBay cancelled it? What’s weird is there’s a sale on my mobile and o can’t exist it.. but I was so excited to finally get rid of that stupid thing.. is this a scam? It was right when he bought it a few seconds after so it’s weird if suddenly his account is just gone within a second of seconds?

the issue is it’s not letting me relist it, and I had people watching it

Try to sell similar instead of relist. You may have already lost the watchers.

Reading the message from eBay, it sounds as if the potential buyer has done something pretty awful, since eBay is loathe to boot a Buyer.

Sellers they will end seemingly on a whim, but buyers are golden.

Whether lsguz-9481 was using stolen credit cards, making threats against another member's life, listing merchandise 'dropshipped' from other sellers, or something I don't have enough of a criminal mind to imagine, you are probably well out of it.

I mean he bought a cheap anime pillow so that’s pretty weird of a thing to be buying as a scammer and like I said it was cancelled within a few minutes just long enough for me to be glad i can finally get rid of it 

it’s been over a year I’ve been trying to get rid of this thing so it’s actually a bigger letdown I’m stuck with it still 

the other concern is the app is still telling me to ship it

But if I do that it won’t keep the pictures and the picture are from a year old x.x it’s not worth enough to go through all the effort again I just wanted it gone

You dodged a bullet because ebay caught this one before you shipped it. 

Had you shipped and they canceled the listing after, you would have given the scammer (or scofflaw) a free item.

As long as the item was shipped, ebay wouldn't have clawed back the payment, but it's always better when it happens before shipping.

The reason why you can't relist is because ebay removes the listings in this type of situation. And when the listing is removed, you can't click to relist but you can "sell similar."

Yeah but why would they be trying to scam with a cheap anime pillow from a very obscure game series? It’s not a very desired item I just want it gone cause it takes up space lol

If I click sell similar or relist on the sale which still says to ship it it just clocks. This item really isn’t worth all this trouble heh

ebay will never tell you what flagged that buyers account, not worth assuming.

I'd bank on fraud department closed the account because of some sort of analysis.

It sucks you lost watchers and have to relist, but it is what it is.

I see these types of things more frequently on laptops and higher scammed items, but can happen on anything.

Makes no sense to me it was a $20 anime pillow. But seriously I was just happy someone wanted it now I’m stuck with it from square one

Remember Watchers watch. Buyers buy.

Drop that and put Calculated Shipping on the item without comment.

Or since it is a cult item with a limited audience, find a reasonable shipping cost*

DotCOM because the US market is the largest single economy in the world.

Free Shipping because with a cult item, there is less price resistance.

Umm - I didn't realize that I was posting on dotCOM.

Some of that would make more sense if this were the eBayCanada site, where workarounds are used when we are listing here.

Yeah uh originally it was listed as free shipping with the total showing as including it but I ended up being screwed cause every time one of these sold (I had a few different ones with different designs) it was someone from some obscure California city and it cost more than a normal city. But it still makes zero sense why a scammer would buy a cheap pillow and get banned a few minutes after. And I can’t relist it anyway because selling similar and relisting both aren’t working I’d have to start it entirely from scratch. 

and it’s not like I don’t have other items listed that have actual resale value if they were trying to scam me so why choose the hardest one to resell of all? 

trust me I’d have donated it if places like goodwill here actually kept things but if that didn’t sell in a week it would just get thrown out. I do actually want it to go to someone who would actually want it 

that and my eBay is still telling me to ship it. So that just makes me wonder if the eBay eBay was the fake or something since the app is telling me to do it and I don’t want to risk losing my feedback rating due to a fake email?
