Is there any advantage to packing out all your weekend orders before midnight on Sunday? Does it increase your check on Tuesday?
As opposed to just packing on Monday morning.

I can't see how it would affect your payout at all, doesn't the 'ordered and paid' date decide when funds are sent through?

I assume by 'packing' you also mean buying the shipping labels and/or entering the tracking number?
Because eBay has no idea whether you have packed an item or not.

Well I suppose that is up to you and your needs. You have a one day handling time, at least on the listings I looked at, so you are required to ship your weekend orders on Monday. Whether you print the labels on Sunday or Monday would not matter.
Ebay captures your Tuesday deposit in the very early hours of Tuesday.
If for some reason you needed a bigger payout this week and you decided to delay creating your shipping labels from the weekend sales until Tuesday, then you have two issues, no money in your account to cover the shipping and you are shipping late and potentially at risk for defects.

Are your payments on Hold for some reason?
You are not a new or occasional seller, so if they are we can't see why, because it is none of our business.
But if you have been paid by Sunday, even if you haven't printed a label*, then your MP account should be transferring all that money on Tuesday.
Monday payment is less certain in my mind.
Shipping is not related to Managed Payments transfers, once the Hold period is over.
*I do not use labels because I have an apparently endless supply of mint postage stamps, purchased below face.

Interesting take on the post. I read it differently, for what that is worth. Could be because I have my payouts happen on Tuesdays too. I didn't get any hint from the OP that their money was on hold, or that they were on a daily payouts.

I believe this is true.
I was wondering if labeling on Sunday night affects available funds vs "processing".

Yes, from the moment you accept to print the label.
But you need to be very careful. I'm not sure what kind of game you are trying to play here.
As I understand it, you have ONE day shipping and you have your payments send on weekly [on Tuesday]. If I have either of those things wrong, please do let me know.
If you get sales over the weekend, you are suppose to ship on Monday. If you print your labels and don't ship until a later time or you wait and create the labels until after your money gets transferred on Tuesday, you are risking the health of your selling account.
ALWAYS ship within the stated handling time YOU state on the listing. Do NOT play with that for any reason.

Yes, from the moment you accept to print the label.
Are you saying that the funds will not be processed until you print a label or mark the item as shipped?

That is two different questions.
When you create a shipping label in Ebay, it is not necessary to mark anything shipped, it will be automatic once the seller purchases the label.
You have to PURCHASE the label it to get recorded on the transaction and this is when funds get processed. When the seller purchases the label, they can choose whether it comes from their MP account or paid through their PayPal account.

Not really two different questions. When a label is purchased or a tracking number is entered, the item is marked as having been shipped. When a seller does not use tracking they have to manually mark the item as having been shipped. Sellers that don't use tracking still receive their funds so it is not necessary to purchase a label in order to have funds processed.
The reason that I asked the question is that I've always thought the processing started when the buyer paid, you seem to think otherwise. It's possible that once an item has been 'shipped' the processing starts but at this point I still think that it is when the buyer pays.

I'm not sure what your point is. What I have said is factual. Besides what you seem to want to pick apart is not what the OP has asked about.
No, processing a shipping label does not start when the buyer pays. That is the start of a transaction. The seller can choose where they want to purchase the shipping label. The OP had very specific questions about the purchase of the shipping label.
I'm not sure what specific part of the "processing" of a transaction you are concerned with. Seems you are way off target of what the OP has asked.
Maybe you might consider starting a thread on this so we don't take this thread way off topic.

As opposed to just packing on Monday morning.
As soon as you print your label either Sunday or Monday (if your pay out of pending funds), that postage amount will be deducted from your Tuesday payout. Also if you are paid for an item on Monday and decide to print and mail on Monday, your Tuesday payout will also be less that postage amount. You won't get Monday's proceeds until the next Tuesday. In other words, when you are paid determines when the money will be released into a payout, not when you pack or print the label.

Something I forgot to mention is that on Ebay you do NOT have to ship before the money becomes available for transfer to your bank. Unlike on Amazon where your money for the entire transaction does not become available to you until after you ship.
