I bought a laptop since everybody said I needed a computer. And on the eBay website, everything looks like a computer screen until I pick to choose the create listing then it goes back to what I would find on my iPhone as on the app screen it gives you three choices no dots no hamburger. I’m just trying to find something that will allow this like what are the specs that are needed specifically for a computer laptop to be able to do this or see that? Sorry to everybody but eBay because they’re the only ones that are making this frustrating right now. by me having voice money on a laptop that doesn’t even **bleep** do what it’s everybody says it was gonna do cause it’s a computer and not an app or a phone(which is why you couldn’t pick the variations in the first place) it’s basically like on the laptop the same as if I chose website view on my iPhone.

To expand on that..
They can start going through the automated help along, but then they can choose a "Continue without match" and that should take them to a standard listing interface.
Mine doesn't have those 3 dots, but I'm not using the simplified option, I use the Seller Hub and go through the listing page with a click to List an Item:
https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active
Alternatively, you can go this route:
https://www.ebay.com/mys/active
https://www.ebay.com/sl/prelist
Notice, that link also doesn't give me any dots:

Variation listings are not supported on the app; use the website.
Variations are not supported on auction format listings; use fixed price format.
Variations are not supported on the simplified listing tool. If you're on the simplified tool you'll see a button on the top right that says "switch to business listing tool" - click on that.
By default the variation setting is hidden on the listing form. Once you unhide the setting it will stick for future listings. On the top right of the business listing tool, click the menu (3 vertical dots), select settings, and toggle the variations slider on (so it's blue).
Make sure you're creating a new listing and not using relist or sell similar from a listing without variations.
Beyond that it comes down to category; not every category supports variations.
If the category supports variations you'll find them in a non-intuitive, awkward placement on the listing form - below item specifics instead of above them. I recommend filling out variations before you enter any item specifics to avoid problems.

Hmm, not sure how to get you into computer mode vs app. Maybe try starting from another listing, using that "Have one to sell? Sell now" link that appears below the gallery image in every listing. The 3 dots show up like this:

not sure I'm understanding, you but the variation option won't show up if the category doesn't allow the variation option. i.e choose books as the category...... variation edit should show between Item Specifics and Condition.....on the create the listing page.

Also make sure when set to use Buy it Now, you also turn off Make an Offer just below it. The variation option will not show up if Offers are enabled or you are set up on Auction instead of Buy it Now. (Just to clarify what was posted above)
Category affects the option:
Pricing format:
When those two things are right, you should get this option just above the condition box:
If you have loaded pictures, make sure you didn't load any video for the video slot. This will also block the feature. Variation listings do not support videos.
You can also switch to the Seller Hub and that should also enable the feature vs Simplified.
Just to clarify, mine looks like this:
No 3 dots in the top right.

OK, I didn’t know about the offer thing but said that your second screen like that makes me feel better because that’s how it shows up on my iPhone and on my computer, but the seller hubs are what is different. So I would just start by creating a listing here, I was gonna insert a picture, but it’s basically the seller hub on a computer. Some reason it’s asking me for dimensions and other stuff instead of just let me pick my photos off my phone. That’s the exact reason why I’m replying to you on that and trying to do this on the computer at the same time, but yeah, I clicked the photo thing to try and add it. It says source I said phone and then it won’t let me. I figured it would just let me go to my images, but it shows the seller hub I go to the listings create active unsolved draft scheduled ended, and create listing I get your screen on the second with no dots except for just the browser which is the new tab new window of new you know all that stuff. But what do I do after that because if it’s like you say this shouldn’t be on simplified anyway if I had the sellers hub right?

Here is a secret about those sports card variation listings.
If you take all those base cards that you were going to make the variation listing of and instead throw them directly in the trash you will be better off. You can easily put 4 or 5 hours into creating ONE of those listings, and it will sell almost nothing unless you price the cards so low that you are making pennies per hour on the transaction. Most card sellers don't seem to under stand that the ebay fees and supply costs eat about 60 cents of that 99 cent card, and that 75 percent of those cards will also never sell. That means to make even $10 an hour selling those cards you need to be able to do the following in 1 hour, source, 100 cards, list 100 cards, file 100 cards away, pull 25 cards, and ship 25 cards (all of those things per hour, not an hour for list, etc, all of those things). You can't do it, no one can.

It was gonna be groups, bro, and mostly not base. Like groups from a team from a certain set and year. like I have full sets of 1989s that nobody wanna buy cause I’m not gonna **bleep** just sell the whole set for less than $50 but you put them individually as teams show pictures of the quality of the cards then they know easily they grade the one star player they’ve made their money back and more. The only people I wouldn’t be putting in these sense or like the 89 Griffey, you know or if I happen to get the Marbro full sign visible on Randy he wouldn’t be with the expose just super valuable cards like that I would do individually myself. But these what I’m talking about is more for fans of teams. Or specifically you know like I got a whole set of absolute red and blue gold bear parallels you’re telling me people ain’t gonna buy those
05-10-2025 05:07 PM
Plus besides full set I’m really not gonna offer any card that **bleep** or doesn’t have either potential which would be, the bad cards you would get is like a top 10 or 25 Prospect that doesn’t pan out. But most are either top 100 players in the league right now of whatever League I’m doing or have been over multiple years spans when they were playing
05-10-2025 05:10 PM
But yeah, definitely not gonna waste my time over something where somebody’s gonna spend one dollar and then I gotta pay more for shipping than they do for the card. Doesn’t make sense. I don’t know if I’m gonna do groups of five or 10 for each team, but I guess it would depend on if the year I had the full set or if I had boxes that I open
05-10-2025 05:14 PM
But yeah, more people need to hear that for sure cause that’s what I originally thought about and then I had somebody that I talked to. That’s been selling for a while break it down to me like that on the amount of time you’re doing and they wouldn’t order like I order by picking specific players and ordering everyone of them You know like all the judges devers Acuna Otani’slindors, older ones Bo Jackson Nolan Ryan. Most people would just buy their one player. So yeah, I’m kind of glad you did put that in there for more people, but I’m doing this in a different sense. Cause I’m gonna do mystery packs too, but yeah pretty much basically if it was like an average player or something you know like Mark chimera for the packers, Robert woods nfl, Terry Pendleton for the Braves, those I give away free with whoever orders and says they’re that type of fan
05-10-2025 05:23 PM
Especially with how some people think, obviously the ones that want older cards like that in pristine Condition, which is how you get them in unopened set. But the price of like the 20th highest card in that whole set is too much to buy the whole set. The only question with that set specifically is what type of Randy Johnson rookie card are you gonna get based on the Marboro sign(which would make the set close to 3000% increase if you pull the full sign showing) because all the variations and the same thing with the Billy Ripken(Everything but the Black box sells for more so that increases it if you pull any of them, but if you pull the best one, it’s not as much as the Johnson increase but it’s still like 2000% or 20 times if 10 if 9 then 1500% to 1000%. I’m Fortunate enough to Have an original of those bills cause my dad went out once he heard about it and bought as many packs as he can got two of those and two of the whiteouts(which is why I know they exist), but he ended up selling the whiteouts because they’re so **bleep** rare. I don’t even know what he got for him but he got paid not like what he would’ve done today, But in the mid 90s Money ain’t like what it was then lol. So I figure offering whole teams from multiple sets is a better idea like just open all eight sets that I have I’ve already opened one just to make sure everything come every cards in there which is the case, but the case the one I opened at the black box And I mean it wasn’t fully obstructed, but I gotta figure out if it’s green or not since I’m partially colored blind.

where would I find settings if I don’t have those 3 kn next to the? And circle. Every time I try and add a picture to show y’all how mine looks it tells me sources description and then size and I just don’t understand that that’s dumb. Just let me go to my photos and let me pick it. Just to make sure it’s in business mode I would assume it starts out that way
