I have 232 people watching items I have for sale. So tired of it. Wish they would take the plunge and buy.

Don't watch the watchers, it will make you insane..
OTOH Read The Watchers by Dean Koontz. My favorite horror novel of all time.

I put items on my Watch List for all kinds of reasons, only one of which is that I might buy that particular item from that specific seller.

Then lower your price 🙂

Be glad you don't have to feed them.

Question would be; Do you buy everything you watch?

We ALL wish our watchers would buy; however, a large percentage of watchers do not convert into actual buyers and I am sure you know that.

Every once in a while I send offers to buyers on listings with tons of standing watchers. I offer like 10% off and call it something like a "Mid Month Sale" only for my best buyers. This always shakes up a few sales.
Just having watchers doesn't hurt. But they're there, so shake em up!

As do we all however there are various reason's people watch an item a lot of them have nothing to do with an interest in actually buying the item.

The "watcher" function is next to useless from a seller perspective. Lots of reasons why people use that function outside of consideration of purchase. Best to just ignore it.

It's not useless unless you think that having a watcher(s) means a guaranteed sale. It doesn't, never has and never will.
What it does mean is that people are finding your listing and are interested in it (for whatever reason) enough to add it to their watch list.

What I said works for the OP's post. Besides, if watch listing doesn't translate into a sale, it's not worthy of much interest. Like you say, watchers aren't a predictor of an impending sale. So it is ignored if one is smart. Pretty much true for any seller if you get right down to it.
