Watch Authentication Team is Terrible

These guys are supposed to authenticate.  Instead they're taking upon themselves to make suggestions to buyers and looking for the smallest imperfection to discourage them.

I've had two great deals for the buyers scuttled by them and learned my lesson.  Both were all-original from the 1970's in very nice shape.

That is what the return policy is there for.  What a waste of time and money.  Never again..

Will never buy or sell here. This place is a joke.

I just pulled all my listings and am moving to a real watch seller.

I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Expensive watches are hard to authenticate...for anyone.

I have a Rolex watch...had to go in to a shop to fix it for it stopped working. Why? Rolex watches have to be tuned up just like a car every ten years. Why? The oil and such dries inside watch. Cost to fix it? $800.00 dollars. Would most  sellers and buyers know this? Probably not.

Rolex watches need to be worn every day for this not to happen.

Outside of watch is perfect. Me as a buyer I didn't know any of this crap until now.

A $10,000. investment 10 years ago...and this is the 2 second tune up just in 10 years.

If a watch like this sits in a box for a long time I am guessing it would need a tune -up quicker.

Can one imagine buying such a thing and a year later it stops working? But you probably already know all this information.

That is not what I'm referring to.  Said watch is working perfectly, all original.

First they sent a weird message stating "the watch doesn't have the same strap as the one from the ad".

Not only did it have the same one, but it also had an additional strap as a courtesy to the buyer.

It's a mess; They're nitpicking - not authenticating.  Whenever I bought watches from this place they never told me anything.  All they did was to ensure it wasn't a box of rocks.

Yes, vintage watches can be a minefield for avg collectors, and Ebay is supposed to make sure its authentic, and whether any outlandish claims are made in the ad.  I've sold dozens of luxury vintage and my feedback is 100%. Authentication is for one thing, while return policy and feedback are there for another.

The reason they nitpick from my understanding is because you can turn on no returns for authenicated items.

People can't do INAD and missuse the eBay MBG like items that aren't authenticated.

These programs are the closest you get to all sales are final on eBay.
