How is WWII dagger with offensive symbols unlisted by ebay but not other listing with the same symbols and much worse images? I even covered the symbols in the picture. Just curious because I just want this thing gone.

Some get caught, some don't. Yours is definitely against Ebay rules.

Yours is the symbol of the Third Reich, definitely not allowed. Theres a report button on every Ebay listing.

As others mentioned the bots don't catch everything and/or people reporting listings don't catch everything. Fortunately there are a multitude of other alternatives besides eBay. Over the years the constantly expanding list of eBay prohibited items has forced me to utilize other venues and platforms to move a LOT of my items and I have no issues with that.
Not sure what the images were of on your dagger but assuming potentially a swastika which in and of itself is not an issue, it was/is a religious symbol, but when it is connected to the Nazi party that is when it becomes an issue. I have bought and sold a number of WWII Nazi items over the years but never on eBay. There is a HUGE WWII collector base out there.
FYI the image you posted is also highly collectable. Following is information on the artist and print

Ever got stopped for speeding and while the officer is still writing the ticket , 20 cars pass by faster than you were driving? Well, you got caught, they did not. Do NOT even think that of relisting that one here. The next time, the bots will spot it and shut it down and give you a 3 day suspension. Trust me, I know. My "crime" was relisting 2 tiny cap pistols from the 1970s. They were both still sealed in the package. The guns were each LESS than 2" long. So I got a 3 day vacation on BOTH of my seller accounts.
That item might be hard to sell elsewhere. It's quite offensive to many folks. If the free listing sites don't want that stuff. If you throw it out, please destroy it so that no one pulls it out and tries to sell it or worse, displays it.

Because eBay cannot review and remove all prohibited items immediately and simultaneously.
Yours was up for others to see for a while before it was taken down.

Probably because the other image is pulp fiction-type magazine or comic book cover art. The dagger is probably an actual nazi item and eBay won't let you sell it. Of course, that's my slant and I could be wrong...

Well cops tend to be racist, so that's a bad example. Unless you're calling ebay racist.

Hi @weilach73
Here is eBay's Offensive materials policy:
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/offensive-materials-policy?id=4324
These are the lines that seem to pertain to your item:
[At one time eBay specifically mentioned that concealing the Nazi symbols in listing photographs does NOT make the item okay to list.]
I reported the listing that you mentioned. It has less than 24 hours to run ... so we'll see what happens.

I think the correct terminology is not "cops tend to be racist" which is totally untrue, but more like
"people can be racist".
In your case you listing was probably removed by a computer, not a racist human.

If you want it gone then get rid of it. Donate it to a museum, scrap it or (safely) trash it.
