I realize this will get buried in no time and those that don't have any will no doubt not see this.
As a self employed person for years I thought I'd yell it out there to all the "eBay is holding my funds" folks.
No rooftops around to yell it from.............rant over..............thanks....................I feel better now.................

If you are self-employed, you have $$ in a 'Tax Savings' (from profits) so you can pay your taxes from 2025.
At this time of year, it should be the easiest since you would have the entire 2025 years taxes being 'held' until April.
You simply use that money and the 'pending $$' from ebay becomes just that- pending to go BACK in the Tax Savings Account.

I've been retired for years now and am living off SS and investments.
I just wanted to vent about all the daily threads I see from sellers that are so upset that their funds aren't immediately available.
You're spot on about being prepaired to pay taxes for instance. It's the same thing selling anything. One has to be prepared for interruptions or delays when it comes to monies recieved vs product going out.
Working capital is a buffer against stress. A little at a time into an account (like being ready for the tax man) is peace of mind.......................................

My spouse was self-employed and we calculated his tax rate and put money aside into a bank account to make his quarterly tax payments. Towards tax time, we were able to contribute to an RRSP to lower the taxes owed and get a refund on what was paid through the year. (You guys would call it a 401K).

Everyone I have ever seen starting a thread about not being able to pay their bills because ebay was holding their money had so few sales that ebay wasn't the problem. "Oh, you sold 4 things this month for $37."
