WHY must they keep playing with the code?

So I just got home from the hospital, and see that VIEWS has been limited to only 30 days. I would much rather see that I had an item listed for a year with 1456 views and 2 watch! I AM smart enough to average that out myself!
I also hate the new listing page design. To many drop down question this or that and MUST FILL selection. It also take sup too much real estate and involves more pan-n-scan of the page than necessary.

E-bay is not the only one. So my question is "What 12 year olds with no usage experience do they hire to do code these websites and applications?" Or maybe more accurately, WHO do they survey when the movie is premiered?

My gripe - For what I (WE) pay E-bay for services it should be better suited to OUR needs and functionality. Sure, I get the cost of SEO (thank Google), and server time, edge technology and modern security. I worked IT - I get it. But I also understand that in that capacity, I had to act and react to the best interests of the customer and the business setting they subscribed to.

The old numbers were highly flawed, so any calcs you were doing were fake. 

The 30 day rolling shows real people looking vs. adding bots. Also, now you can click on it and see how promotions are working (shows promo vs. organic views). 

So, overall better and much more accurate information.

Your statement is right on the money.

My experience is super large art museum - try dealing changes as e-bay does to artists!

That new views thing to be able to see organic VS promoted is terrible. all my listing says I have like 0-3 views which is defiantly a mistake.

Proving once again that software must be tested and re-tested before general release. That's a basic in web design since like 1995!

Why not leave the old alone, and have a fully new section for the new ideas,  and phone folks. You know...they can co-exist on a server! I guess they don't know what "development servers" were invented for!

I am also noticing that my views are way down on my new listings, even when I am sure that they are rare and special, as in 2 views over a week instead of the usual 10 to 20.

Caution though.

The buyers just aren't out there either. So viewership will be down from that too.

One reason I would love to compare to 2008 figures (last recession).

The graphs (if they were available) should be similar!
