WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF COMMUNITY CHAT AS ONE SUBJECT WAS CLASSIC VIEW

I set my time and prepared to participate in "Community Chat" and was very disappointed.  Time wasted.  Nothing accomplished.  With all the input from the community it just doesn't matter the subject, the result is the same.  eBay will answer all the questions the same way.  They did it and it is here to stay.  My opinion of the new code, is that eBay coders has no way of making it more intuitive, readable, or write code to make the Classic View optional.  They decided on bad code.  There is no way that it could not be fixed.  They will not fix it.  The option is take it or leave it.  Though time-consuming, I do a back and forth switch to Classic View to get what I want.  I will continue to do so for now.

Lucky you if you still can switch it to the Classic view. I can't do it on US Ebay anymore.

NOPE!  You are one of the lucky ones who can still view the old format for now...it will eventually disappear.  When I click onto your link it takes me here:

It sucks big time.  I still have the old url bookmarked in hopes that I can get a glimpse of the old selling page since it seems to be sporadic across this site but so far, no luck.  😒

What happens if you access your selling through the very top right hand corner of your page - the area that I have between the two red dots?

When I click onto selling from there, it takes me directly to the seller's HUB.

        I would be very surprised if anyone is seeing the classic view. They also took away the quick listing tool. I agree 100%. It was one click and you could go about your business, get the information you were looking for, or like to look at, or need to look at, all with one click. The computer gives humanity the ability to have this commerce we have on eBag. The computer is a processor. We take out the information we want hopefully  quickly. eBag just made in harder and much more time consuming to get our information. Just like if when into Macy's Herald Square looking for widgets they say go to the 8th floor, on the 8th floor they have 4 widgets going to the 7th floor for more and so on then when you have seen all the widgets go to 9th floor to pay but the bags will be on the 3rd floor in a storage room. Their watering your leg and telling you its raining.  They are saying they had to get rid of Classic My eBay because it is Old Code!  They think we don't know about Programming Languages, and software and "code"  They can build the exact same page with whatever "code" they are using.  So don't let them think we don't know anything about computers.  The programmers probably told him to say it was because of the "old code"!  MULE MUFFINS!

This is the old "Active" view....not the "Classic".

If I go through my summary page, I get the dreaded new all selling page (which I am using in tandem with the sellers hub) so I have both versions open. 

Every time I go through the top of the page I get the seller's hub...

Nope. Gone gone. I think an etsy infiltrator in the offshore eBay coding den in Bangalore(?) ruined the classic All Lists function in December and the classic All Selling page this month in order to cripple buying and selling, respectively, thereby reducing eBay's stock price, making it a less expensive takeover target.

The only purpose for community chat is to vent frustrations.  Ebay is not particularly interested in what sellers have to say, they are only interested in what their major shareholders have to say.

But if you want to feel better about the removal of the classic page, I hear that Ebay has not placed selling restrictions, similar to limits on hand sanitizers, on lubricating gels that might help ease the pain.
