I understand you can void a shipping label and that it can take up to 21 days for a refund from usps but why?? Just curious as to who created this? It should be simple. You realize you made a mistake and ordered two labels for 1 item. Things happen. So you void it and make sure you use the correct label ship the item and 1 week later it still shows not delivered because of the voided tracking number that cant be removed!? Why cant it be removed its an obvious mistake and trust me wont happen again. Any advice on how to remove would be helpful thanks

at least you did not blame/accuse ebay of holding those label funds and collecting interest for the 2 week duration....hahahahaha
it is frustrating when you immediately know you made an error....
I have read in the past it is USPS policy, to make sure the label is not used. They have the same policy at pirateship, or ship station when using USPS....
UPS and Fedex can be voided immediately because you are not charged until shipment is completed.

I can admit my mistakes just glad i learned early. Shouldnt take 21 days for them to realize theres no package with that tracking number especially once the other ones been delivered

Shipping company's have no idea of how many labels you print..........they deal with 1000s/,millions a day....have no way of knowing the label was a mistake or that you are a reliable person, they don't know when/if you will try to mail......
You need to understand in the beginning of selling.....that a lot of rules are made in various places that apply to everyone......that the individual is not considered...because of the volume of people that are involved in selling....

Priority labels are refunded more quickly.
Parcel & First class take longer.
The voided tracking can be changed. You can update the tracking number if you need to print another label. I forget exactly how it is done, but it is easy to do.
