After recent update, my account seems to be bricked. New listings have no views (usually I get 5-10 views in the first hour after listing; now it has been a day and some have 0 and others 1); old listings don’t get any more or less watcher. I have old listing in the message displayed “item sold, please ship it as soon as possible). I didn’t get any sales since October 11. All my items are promoted . Anyone with the same issues? I am just wondering if it is just me or others as well. I called Ebay multiple times but they are clueless as everything looks good to them.

why would you bother to post listings if there's no guarantee people will at least see the items?

eBay has never been able to handle the volume of traffic to the site. The solution would be hardware upgrades and additional servers, but their answer has always been to jack the searches around.
In the spring they made changes and killed what had been pretty steady sales each week. Where in the past items seemed to show to only one or two regions of the country each week, enough to generate sales, they now seem to show to no one most weeks and only get exposure one week. Since then I will have one good week a month with new stuff and anything that doesn't sell I may as well throw away because it becomes invisible on the relistings. It doesn't matter if it hasn't been on eBay in a long time or if it's been on five times and each one sold for around a certain price, mine go nowhere.
The newest changes have made this even worse, they seem to be transitioning from categories to using item specifics for searches. This probably would be fine if it worked and made the system work, but so far unless you have something super scarce and desirable, it's worse than before. I have some good stuff up and nobody is finding it. I had a piece that someone else got just over $100 for only bring $32 a couple weeks ago because I started it too cheap. I didn't expect $100 but I figured $50-$75 on it. It was in better shape. My guess is they also want to kill auctions.

Were those 23 sales in automotive?

Because if you don't post listings, there's your solid guarantee that NOBODY will see it.

If nobody sees it when I post it here, "what difference, at this point, does it make" (to quote a famous hack).
I can just take it to swaps or flea markets or post it on some other site and save the waste of effort.

Things do seem a bit slow. It’s disheartening.

Why not, it's a chance we all take?
Just like other sites, they don't guarantee anyone will see your listings.

That is why I just posted couple to see if it triggers sales but it didn’t. I am feeling completely unmotivated.

Same here! I use to be a power seller but now my store is like “invisible” again, no enquiry/bargain/offers emails, extremely low/no sales, page view also drops obviously even if it is a hot item, now my traffic data are all red red red…
Had try promotions, re-listing item and lowered price refill the new Item specifics but nothing works…
My impression is every time eBay made changes, seller will suffer a lot…such as Promoted listing, MP, now Categories changes(12 Oct 2021)…
Seems the category change are affecting some search result, now much less result are shown up when we search in eBay, so buyers can’t find their favourite item in their search, it kill page view and sales, so crazy & terrible!!

What relevance does this have with what this post is about??

For me listing and selling go hand in hand. It seems that I have to keep listing new things to sell the old stuff. I guess it has something to do with the algorithms. If I don't list new items, I get some sales but it is very slow. If I list new items, I sell the new and the old. One trick I do if I don't have new items to list is end some of my items, then go to sell similar so it looks like a new item.
I do about $2000.00 per month in sales. I took two months of this year with no new listings. Sales went to half of that. Now I am back up and running, listing new items so far October is over 2K .

Pesonally, I avoid sponsored items as sellers have to mark up their items to make up for the costs in promoting or sponsoring their auctions. Knowing how to do proper searches goes a long way in finding what you need at the best prices.
