Views

I feel like something has happened and I missed the memo. Things were really starting to pick up for me and then it’s as if things came to a screeching halt. I’m getting little to no views on my items. This has been happening for going on two weeks. I’m a relatively new seller so I get that I still have much to learn, but I have never experienced such little activity. Just be patient? Really just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?

@knowitallmamaw   Do you have two of those handmade clown dolls or have you double listed?

Re: Views

I have two. Their clothes are the same colors, but different designs. Thanks for checking!

I am currently listing 4-6 items every other day because I am unable right now to do this full-time like I would like to. Thank you for your advice! Much appreciated.

@knowitallmamaw   You are more then welcome ... that's great that you are listing regularly but again, consider adding different categories because that helps drive traffic.  A person might find your items looking for one thing then purchase something else you have for sale.

Best wishes to you in you eBay Selling endeavor!

Re: Views

The answer to less views :

More accurate listing view counts

We (eBay) want you to have listing traffic data that shows as accurately as possible how many buyers have seen your listings. That’s why, in late April 2022, we’ll be updating how we count and report listing page views.

The current page view numbers on your listings count various types of traffic, including a significant amount of non-human traffic—one example is programs called “bots” that scan websites and now account for approximately 40% of internet traffic.* Learn more about non-human traffic and bots in the Listing Page Views FAQs tab.

Although this non-human traffic is currently counted as a “page view,” it doesn’t represent real shoppers or lead to sales, and recent analysis has shown how much it inflates your page view numbers.

As part of eBay’s continual efforts to bring you better data to run your business, we’re updating to a new way of counting page views that will better filter out non-human traffic and more accurately show views by potential buyers.

While the amount of non-human traffic on the internet is considerable, it also varies across categories and products. As a result, while most sellers will see a significant drop in page view numbers, the impact of filtering out more non-human traffic may vary. Importantly, the actual traffic from potential buyers to listings isn’t changing. We’re just updating what types of traffic we count as page views to more accurately show views by potential buyers.

Page view counts based on this approach have been available in the Seller Hub Traffic Report and Promoted Listings reports for some time. The changes outlined above will increase the consistency of how page views are counted and displayed across eBay.

Re: Views

Hi there,

Wanted to know if there's anything you did to get the store moving. I am also new and in the same boat where I am also getting no views on my items. Any information is helpful. Thanks

Re: Views

I've been selling for YEARS and suddenly...I'm not getting any views.

I post on Twitter and usually pick up 10 views just from that. But lately NOTHING!

Re: Views

I noticed that my views drastically declined about the same time you (eBay) started tagging on the "Promotion Fees" at the end of the listing process when I use my app.

I was beginning to think that since I was paying extra fees...my listings weren't showing up in the searches.

Re: Views

I have noticed this as well. I have had items constantly listed for at least a year and the last few weeks my views and sales have completely dried up. I wonder if Ebay is only pushing promoted items and punishing those of us who do not choose that option?

Re: Views

I opened my store 2 weeks ago and I don't see ANY views. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Views

When eBay started pushing me to pay to boost views on my auctions, the views on my items dropped to nearly zero because I wouldn’t pay the extra.
Before that, everything I listed got at least several views. I feel like eBay is arm-twisting me.

Re: Views

I feel that way as well. I've been selling on this platform for a long time and have NEVER had so little views on so many things. I really dislike the changes they've made on eBay in the last two years.  It's become more commercialized in my opinion. Hope you have better luck soon. 🤞Me too.
