I feel like something has happened and I missed the memo. Things were really starting to pick up for me and then it’s as if things came to a screeching halt. I’m getting little to no views on my items. This has been happening for going on two weeks. I’m a relatively new seller so I get that I still have much to learn, but I have never experienced such little activity. Just be patient? Really just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?

@knowitallmamaw  Someone posts about this almost every day and has for the 15 years I've been in this forum. *i.e., so you're not alone in this.  Sales really go up and down here, particularly since there is like 1.5 billion items on here.  The fewer the items a seller has, the more (in my experience) sales swing up and down.

You've got great items with excellent photos - just stay active on the site, keep listing, refreshing listings if you're out of stuff to list - every marketplace I sell on (I sell on 5 right now) rewards activity.

Also, be consistent with listing.  Just keep going and take the long view as that's really where you'll see patterns.

It's the nature of the beast, especially when you sell one offs.  I am in a slump right now as well.

I agree with what the first poster stated. You have to constantly be active. Also, I looked at some of your listings. It may help if you researched, a little, what the brands are. People will look under certain brands instead of searching thru hundreds of listings.

An example would be your 8" crystal candlesticks. I believe them to be Mikasa Park Lane, which would definitely make finding them easier.  Plus it's a popular retired pattern.

Inflation isn't helping either, but it will come around again.

Hang in there!

I suspect those clowns are scaring buyers away.

Same for me. Listed item yesterday and got 3 views with item promoted at 3%. Item popular. Listed another item 3 weeks ago and got 8 views promoted at 4.3%. My impressions and views are down by 36% recently (kast 2 weeks). It may have somethjng to do with returns and throttling.

Hi @knowitallmamaw ,

I see you sold 15 items in March and 13 in February and currently have about 180 items for sale.    Your listings look fine but you may benefit from more categories and more items to sell.  Once you have sold the more desirable pieces from the items you have the rest may sit for a lot longer then you would like ... or may never sale.  As you sell things off are you replacing those with the same amount or more items for sale?

I am currently listing 4-6 items every other day because I am unable right now to do this full-time like I would like to. Thank you for your advice! Much appreciated.

Complaints about slow sales started in October 1995.

When I worked retail, we saw patterns.

If you want to talk to a salesperson, the best time is two in the afternoon. She's had lunch and the browsers have gone back to the office.

You can even see it in the sales flyers coming to your house. Are you getting flyers about patio furniture even though there is still snow on the ground?

Interesting side to patio furniture- in late winter /early spring the brightly coloured cushions sold strongly. When it was actual hot summer, people were buying beige and grey.

Keep records.

And make your comparisons not to last week but to the same 30 day period last year AND the year before.

The patterns will emerge.
