Views not working = sales not happening ???

As we all seen the views is a terrible glitch that has eveyone thinking on where all the fees we have paid so far have gone... no support? the 4th of july date to be fixed seems like a joke...

But i have a question for you.

Are your sales dead from the moment the view problem occured?

Mine are down to 0 the last five dayes that also i cant see any views.

Some times they reappear and the values are the same like 5 days ago.

So ok the views are not working.

DOES EBAY DO?

The site is not working properly and a total disaster. Worse than ever. Sales have pretty much stopped.

You are so right. What do we pay for.  E bay is no help to sellers only try to ut unfair expects on us/  It is a shame. E bay neeeds to get thier act together. I  hope they can fix the views. It seems like a long time they have beed messed up.  I hope our sales pick up.

My "views" will show every so often, but not for long and who knows if its accurate.

I don't think the view counter display issue has any impact on sales. @Anonymous, have you considered using less busy photos?

OP, you are from Greece and this is the US board.

Many of us prefer to buy domestically.

I have the same loaded losting with lots of info and the sales were flowing.
Some drops now and then but steady.

I dont think listing appeareance has to do with a faulty working site.

Any way happy to hear these are nto connected for you (views / sales) but for some of us it is happening.

Also the .com site is a universal one. We dont have a .gr and we have to sell somewhere do you agree?

I noticed it says shipping to Oregon USA is about US 5.00.

Is this correct?

Not a selling forum here (you get me...), but to answer your question yes Universal shipping is at 4.90 USD for many of my listings.

I am not talking about you selling on the US site.

I am saying many buyers prefer to buy from US sellers.

As to your sales being fine, I would have to look at your listings.

It could be that whomever wanted one of your items has bought it.

You might have new competition.

It is summer here in the US.  Many people are out and about not on their computers.

One thing that is obvious about sales is that it is not like a 9 to 5 job.  They can be good one day and non existant the next.  

Why have stores like Sears been in business for 100 years and now they are going out of business?

I have noticed when the views arent working, people that look at your item dont count. I know this for sure. So when it pops on and says 19 or something it has been looked at a lot more than that.

Since I have sold items with 0 views (obviously they didn't have 0 views, but the counter said so :)), I personally just think it means views are not showing/glitched. But then my views have been off for about a month, so I've learned to ignore the counter. Of the 4 adults in my house, I am the only one spending extra time on the computer, due to the weather being especially nice outside. If I didn't do this for a job, I wouldn't be here either.

Years ago, I invented the hit counters on eBay.   The technology isn't the same as it was when we put the green one on the listings back in '97, but the last few days... yes, it appears that the listings aren't showing.   I don't think search indexes the same way under structured data, and it's losing listings.   On Saturday, five sales, none prior or after, ever since this latest push.    I could say more, but I'm not here to gripe or get into the details.    I use ebay as my personal digitial touchstone when it comes to genertating traffic.  Sales aren't my livilhood like yourselves.  Suffice it to say, this is a technical glitch and it's the reason you're seeing the hit counters, and the lack of sales.    When it's showing -, my tech guy tells me that listing isn't showing up on any eBay exchange server.    - S
