I am a very casual seller so please excuse my gullibility if the answer is obvious.
My question is simple. One of my items has 2 views, but 3 watchers...how is this possible?

one can watch with out viewing.

The search results page has an option to add an item to your Watch list without even opening the listing.

So most likely a competitor that is probably not really interested in the item then?

No way to tell................

Thanks everyone. That was fast...

Could be anybody. Don't put too much stock in the number of viewers or watchers you have.
Sometimes it's just someone with a similar item wanting to see if yours sells and at what price.
The only important things here are actual paying buyers.

In addition, the view count is for the past 30 days, the watch count is all time, a couple of the OP's listings have been active for more than 30 days.

Yeah, I've learned this from the past. Have had many listings with zero watchers sell out of the blue and those with dozens go unsold.

The item in question is the Longshot CGC 9.4. It was listed on 6/9 so still within the initial 30 day period. Good point on the 30 day thing though.

Correct! They are possibly just looking to see what the items actually sells for or if it’s selling at all.

I don't think you can make that assumption.
I watch items from the search results all the time when I am shopping for an item. I will perform several searches, watch the items that seem attractive based on title and price, and then at some future point - sometimes days later - I will look at each listing in detail and decide which one I want.
Also, it seems like at least 25% of the items I watch these days will receive a seller-initiated offer soon after I start watching it. So I have been conditioned by these sellers to always WATCH AND WAIT before I buy, because doing so can result in a better price.
