I've been buying 45's lately and having a great time with it. Bought a collection of 50 random for 15.00 from a seller here and loved it. So I bought a collection 0f 100 for 18.89, (Aug 25) also great. Bought another 100 same seller 18.89 on August 31.
The other records arrived very fast. This last collection did not. Tracking number there as of the 31st but no movement at all. I messaged the seller yesterday being concerned that something may have happened. I also looked at the 'original' listing to see what the est delivery times were and here's where it gets weird. The price for the 100 had gone to 99.95 Item 140685894581. Yikes. And I could not get to the original listing at all.
So I checked feedback to see if there was activity, and yes there is. Then I went to the sellers SOLD listings and can't find my item at all for Aug 31st. I also went to Aug 25 when I bought the previous 100, it's not there either.
The seller has not responded and I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. How could this happen? I checked my bank account and the 2 payments of 18.89 are there...no refund for the missing 45's. I am boggled. What should I do next? I know I should wait till the last day of est delivery before opening an INR, and hope I get a response from the seller but how could the sales have vanished like this?

I really don't want to call CS, though fortunately even as a seller I have had good luck with them. I would use the call back feature if I have to, it's so much faster.
No need to call CS. Wait until the est delivery date, file an INR and relax.

Not sure I quite follow that nor like it, item numbers should be unique.
....
There are no item numbers. There are only listing numbers.
If you relist an item, the new listing has a new listing number.
If you revise a listing, it keeps the same listing number, no matter how drastic the revision is.

Care to tell ebay that !
I don't see a search by listing number .

They are using the term to mean listing. The numbers, whether you call them item numbers or listing numbers, are assigned to a listing not to the item that is being sold in the ilsting. It's just semantics.
