We have been selling on Ebay for 15+ years now, but since March sales have struggled. Ebay seemed to make changes to the search engine meaning items we had sold hundreds of units of were no longer selling. They became almost invisible.
Today we only had 8 sales on EBay. A few years ago we were averaging 50 a day.
I would be interested to hear how other sellers are doing at the moment? I am extremely worried about the way things seem to be going!

But, why is Ebay doing this? It's very hurtful to people who depend on the income. I don't understand how this is beneficial to them.
I wish I had the answer to that. Sometimes I wonder if they've rolled out some new update, and it takes a few days for us to be found again. The past two days for me have been good. It was so bad the first 10 days of this month that I had to take out a working capital loan from PayPal just to cover the rent and my son's daycare. Things seem back to normal for me. I just hope it stays that way.

Finally I get it! Thanks, I was being a little dense about the motive - but with your second effort to explain it to me I am now clear - I sometimes get a bit fixated on what is logical to me - but loose track of the fact that a thief has very specific motives to achieve their goals! Thanks for your patience!!!!

I'd be fine with the cheerleading squad checking me out. Maybe I'm doing something wrong that I'm overlooking. Any help at the point, I'd appreciate.
You are listing in one of the categories that is experiencing the most technical issues right now. It is simply crazy what is happening. Because of the changes with the ISBs [item specific boxes] all kinds of problems have happened. There is an extremely long thread on the tech board started by Ebay for sellers to post their issues. There are so many it is mind boggling. So this may be playing a part in any problems you are having getting sales.
You have some very pretty things up for sale. Some suggestions that I would have are as follows.
Try to take your pictures on a blank background. No home decor to compete with what you are trying to sell. Just find a spot on that pretty colored wall you have that you can have someone stand in front of so that your decor doesn't compete with what you want to sell.
Titles are prime real estate, so make your words count. Try not to use words that are unlikely to be something that someone puts in the search parameters. On things that are sized as a 1x and up, if you can get the words Plus Size in the title. Often that is used when searching. I know for some of the patterns I sell that it draws buyers in when I have stuff in that size and put it in my title.
In that gorgeous necklace you have that is green porcelain, maybe get the word Bead or Beaded in the title. And others that are beaded.
Consider a different return policy. No Returns only protects you from properly filed Buyer Remorse returns. You have no protection due to your return policy for an INAD even it if is incorrectly filed. Maybe consider a 30 day return policy with buyer pays shipping. That enables you to make the buyer pay for return shipping on a properly filed buyer remorse return and since you have separately stated shipping, on a properly filed buyer remorse return you can withhold your original shipping from the refund.
What is your handling time? When I look at your listings, I'm on the West Coast, it says the ETA is Nov. 26th. I don't know if that is an Ebay error, or a long handling time. It could be that you have selected Economy Shipping, which what actual method of shipping are you using?
These are all just my observations. You always need to do what you think is best for you and your selling account. IMHO that ETA date is most likely a big issue for some buyers, so you may want to review that to see if it can be improved. Followed by your return policy. It is unlikely that you will see any change to your return rate by changing your policy, but buyers like the ability to have the option to return. Now seasoned buyers know that a no return policy doesn't mean they can't get a refund, but a newer buyer may see it as they can't get any resolution to a problem if it arises. Again, or course you need to do what is best for you.

How the little things can add up. Just now saw this. Can you imagine being this seller? The stupid watch heart is right on top of the KEY to the entire listing: The Phantom of the Opera PHANTOM’S MASK! Otherwise, at a glance, it just looks like a really expensive Ken & barbie bridal set. (And yes, those silly hearts on our piece of the listing square real estate bug me anyway, but really?) And he’s probably wondering why his Phantom set hasn’t sold. I don’t know. But that we have to be aware of that top right corner in our main listing photo might matter when the PHANTOM’S MASK is in the factory box in the top right. Just saying, we Have to be aware of that now to accommodate the hearts that were just fine in the text below the image. Just sayin.

And my criticism is not of the seller, not his fault, he didn’t one day willy nilly put hearts on his main listing photos; its ebays fault for trying to be like etsy.

Count me in on this sad train. I thought sales were bad before, but this is the lowest of the lows.
4 sales in October 2019. ZERO sales so far in November, and we're almost at the half month mark.
I lost my Top Rated Seller designation because although the dollar amount was fine, the number of sales was insufficient. I'm wondering if that's the cause of the faucet being shut off full stop. I thought it was slow before, but now that sales are nonexistent, I wish and pray for at least slow sales vs. zero.
It's beyond discouraging, and although ebay was my favorite, I am pushing myself and trying out other venues.

Thank you! I will definitely check into handling time/shipping. I promise shipping in 3 business days with priority mail. I will ck on this. I will also try Free returns in 30 days. Very good suggestions!! Jan
You are very welcome. I hope it helps.
That isn't what your listings say. It says Economy shipping and that is up to 10 days. At least on the listings I looked at. I did not look at all of them.

I'm in the same boat. I don't think it can all be blamed on Ebay. They have alot of competition. I think Facebook is killing it. no fees =no brainer. unfortunately higher risk without ebay baby sitting. When I'm using FBM, not in person i keep the listing under $100, I feel that is a reasonable risk/reward ratio.

So....I went in and changed the shipping to Standard First Class and it didn't change the estimated delivery date. Then I went back and changed the shipping to Expedited and it made delivery a day later!!!! How crazy is that???? Maybe that is a factor in my sales, but I can't correct it!!
This is a common mistake that I think most of us make. You can't really tell if you look at it while you are logged in with your ID. When Ebay calculates an ETA, they use the zip code of the member account doing the looking. So you see it for delivery to your Zip code.
Tell me one that you've changed and let me take a peek. I'll tell you what I see.
