I have been selling on E-BAY for 3 years now, and have not had so many terrible buyers. I sent this guy 4 vintage pencils and he claims that he had to pay extra postage of $2.10. He sends me this picture, with this story about the post office charging him because of my poor packaging and I did not pack this poorly as the photo shows. Anyway here is his message and mine back to him , so after insulting me etc he leaves this feedback. I just dont get it.
Im sorry these messages are not in order not sure how to post but this should give a good idea of what I am dealing with. Have any of you gotten hate messages like these?

Well without you providing more information (like how you actually packaged it and what postage method you actually used, etc.) there's not much to be said.

What did YOU pay to send it?

I recommend all shipping in boxes.

If you sent it using the 1st class letter rate, big mistake. A ridged envelop with uneven thickness, or over 1/4" thick, must be sent as a 1st class package, regardless of the weight. Refund him the $2.10 and put him on your BBL. No use communicating with him anymore.

@bell_6468On one of the pics, it shows additional postage due to package dimensions, so that's why there was postage due. It does happen that the calculator is off when you created the label, or you can input the wrong dimensions by mistake. As suggested, just send the $2.10 and add the buyer to your Blocked Buyer List. You just have to learn to accept that some people are jerks and they live for the opportunity to belittle other people. I had a customer order a blank hard drive, then call me a moron because there was nothing on it!

This is probably the best answer and it should probably be accepted as the solution

it would appear that there is a deficit in your packaging abilities
you need to be sending pencils in a box or at least soemthing that arrives in good conditon. the enevelope looks torn and raggedy

You have 2 recent negative feedbacks, both tied to shipping.
Would recommend you revisit your shipping and handling on your orders as it appears you are trying to ship on the cheap and it is causing issues for you and your Buyers.
You really need to spend some time learning what each classification of postage entails with USPS and invest in your shipping process. Your Buyers deserve it.

So you see this as a buyer who lives for the opportunity to belittle other people?
How about a buyer who had to pay an extra $2.10 to receive an item he had already paid for in full, or thought he had?

...Postage Due is a pain on the neck for USPS...and since the risen of shopping online trending, the matter is getting worse...
...hard to collect from receivers...
...the beginning is from the senders...some may not well-known the USPS shipping calculation system, but others intentionally cheat to save shipping cost...
...the receivers can refuse the package instead of making payment...

If I was the buyer I'd be angry too, though I'd probably dispense with the personal insults.
Just FYI, the fact that you showed a photo with full name, and enough address to determine where the buyer lives shows bad judgment on your part, similar to the way the item was packed.

Tagging on....
Never mind if the Buyer is not home when delivery is attempted, the Buyer then has to drive to the PO to stand in line, pay the postage due to collect the parcel.
The Buyer sent you pix showing postage due. Your actions essentially call them a liar.
The issue is not the Buyer. Own it, learn from it....improve your shipping, etc.

You did not pack properly. Naturally, customer is upset, since they were charged for your mistake.

As suggested, just send the $2.10
Agreed. That should be a given, whether it was a post office mistake or a seller mistake - and without regard to whether the buyer was an angel or the devil. No need to ask the buyer first.
and add the buyer to your Blocked Buyer List.
The OP tried to blame this entirely on the Post Office, and did not even entertain the possibility that he had made a mistake. And reading between the lines of his reply, it sounds like the OP may have had similar issues before?
I would not block a buyer who turned out to be right after I initially dismissed his complaint and tried to blame the Post Office for my own mistake. I would apologize.
You just have to learn to accept that some people are jerks and they live for the opportunity to belittle other people.
Or they are just sick of sellers who are not willing to consider the possibility they made a mistake.
I had a customer order a blank hard drive, then call me a moron because there was nothing on it!
In your case, the buyer was clearly wrong. In the OP's case, it sounds like the OP was probably wrong.
