Using the new Newletter format

I have tried repeatedly to work with this new format but can't make it do what I want it to.  With the old format, I could choose and show the listings I was featuring.  If I had a sale going, I was able to put the sale items up at the top of the list.  Now, it seems the only sale function is about a coupon, which I am hesitant to use.  I can't specify the items that are on sale and/or point them out to the reader.  I find the whole format to be incredibly rigid and not at all user-friendly.  I can't get it to do anything close to what I want it to do.  Anybody else having similar issues, or fixes, with the new store formatting?  Thanks!

I haven't looked lately, but I believe at present, the coded coupon is the only "promotion" you can actually promote with the newsletter. Not sure just what ebay displays in the newsletter, but I assume a link to your coded coupon page, which will include ONLY the items eligible for the coupon. When you create the coupon, you choose which items to include in the coupon promotion. So, a link to the coupon page will show your buyer which items are eligible.
