Using the AI description

Hi Everyone,  Just a quick opinion question for you sellers out there.  Does anyone use the AI for their item descriptions & what do you think of it.  My friend tried using it on one listing & it was so far "off of the mark" that he could not use it.  He had to revise everything.  I am afraid to try it as most of my customers like me to be pretty descriptive with my items.  Thank You & I Hope Everyone Is Well!

Oh, Good God, no. It contributes nothing, especially in terms of accuracy.

Plug in all the relevant Item Specifics for your item that will help buyers to find your item and determine that it's what they're looking for, and put a description in your own words, telling people what you think they will need to know (or what they might ask you) about your item. They are looking for detail rather than flowery nonsense. Good luck.

It's worse than a used car salesman.

Sellers who use AI descriptions come off as lazy. How difficult is it to write your own description? Flowery language doesn't sell items; accuracy and details sell items.

@jbbowers12012  I am not a fan. However, I know sellers who are using 3rd party AI with more success. So, if you really want to experiment with it, I'd take a look at 3rd party AI.

At best  it's  overly wordy and few will read it.  At worst, it will say incorrect things about the item and lead to a return.
