I for various reasons can’t access a computer so I’m subject to automatic payment and I have buyers who are mad and eBay won’t help

Would you be so kind as to make the connection (which is not obvious to me -- maybe because I'm old) between the title of your post and the post itself? Thank you.

You can open eBay on a web browser on your phone if you can't find settings you need on the app.
Are you looking for the setting that requires buyers provide a payment method before bidding on an auction? You can turn that off here, but I don't know if it will kick in for listings that already have bids.

What does not having access to a computer have to do with automatic payment?

I'm guessing that some settings cannot be accessed or changed through the mobile app.
I know the web browser on my smartphone (Samsung Z Flip3) can show and use the desktop/laptop mode of the eBay site, but some links from there will jump into the mobile app instead, which is not helpful.

If eBay browser links are opening in the app automatically @a_c_green , iOS users can to tap and hold a link and select "don't open in the app" to prevent that from happening. Android users need to go to the device Settings> Apps> eBay> Open by default> Open supported links and select "don't open in the app."

I would never sell on ebay if I didn't have access to a computer.

Very true. I prefer a combination of both. Phone for pictures/editing/uploading and publishing finished drafts and Computer for descriptions, titles, research etc.
Although these days some phones can be the size of a small laptop computer.

Your local Public Library is a good option if you need to use a computer. Many spend more resources on computers than books these days.

So there's a way to access these Community forums on the app? I've tried and never could find it.

You have a 1568 feed back rating and this has become an issue now?
Cell phones are good for 3 things.
Phone calls, Searches and text.
For me, A home PC is for everything else and makes life so much easier.
Looking at a small screen and trying to accomplish large tasks while paying attention to detail gets real old fast.
Seems everyone thinks using their phones for large tasks is the way to go but, you are more likely not to focus on details and most likely performing tasks on the run.
Long live the PC !!!!!

Yes, there is a way on the app, or you can use a browser on their phone to access the community.
I don't think the OP is asking about that.

The OP said they "can't" access a computer, not that they don't want to. PC's may live long, but they all die at some point.

Federal funding has made sure every American can access a computer at their local public library.
