Using a background remover for photos

Do you use a background remover for your photos? Is it worth  the added time? Looked at PhotoRoom but always based on an app and using your phone. I DON'T WANT TO DO ALL MY WORK ON A TINY STUPID PHONE (so there!). I guess I am a throwback, but I just hate the ergonomics of doing many listings on a tiny phone vs my desktop with a true keyboard and large screen (OK, I vented).

Personally I do not use a background remover. I sell mostly smaller items. I use white poster board, two led non-flicker lights, and Galaxy A20 camera phone and use the pro settings I can change brightness, WB, and ISO. I'm sure there are other better phone cameras out there. Other than that I crop, and use Ebay's brightness and contrast. Sometimes it looks like I used a background removal tool, and sometimes it doesn't. As long as I get a bright clear picture, I'm good.

PS. My brown backgrounds are done with large sheets of brown craft paper used to pack with.

Your photos look great!  The Galaxy A20 phone is noted for having a superior camera.  I use hand-me-down photo equipment so I didn't pay much for the camera I have now, even though it's a really good one, but if I had to use a phone for everyday use AND as a camera, and had the money for it, I'd use the A20.

I bought a photo tent for my photos that has lights  already installed. So my photos are always a white background

Yeah, partly why I left was the increasing crime and general degradation. I guess I miss the Castro Valley of old. May I guess you now live in either Danville or Clayton (or if on the east side, Brentwood).

Yes I use Photoshop.  Yes I think phones are cases waiting to be opened because phones distort the image.  I wonder how many sellers will use phone enhancements for face shots thinking their photos will look better?  ha!  I have never found a phone that can look as accurate and honest as my Canon SLR,  even if it's getting long in the tooth.  I can swap out lenses and create lots of great but honest effects.  I usually only erase the background for unique items.  I mostly erase the background by hand and don't rely on magic eraser since it can be tricky in many situations.
