Does anybody else use templates for descriptions?

I've just spent the last hour and a half on CS Chat with 5 different "specialists". I'm convinced that the first 4 were AI or AI assist chatbots.  I contacted them because for several weeks now, I've noticed that the template dropdown box above the description field had disappeared. Apparently this is the case for all mobile devices, even when using a browser on a mobile device. Now, your only option is to use AI Description or manually write each description for each listing (mobile devices only).

Has anyone else noticed this?

I use a desktop for listing.

With a Store templates are a godsend, giving me the Item Specifics I need or want for my items automatically and also filling in the Shipping parameters.

I find it easy to change the particulars.

I would advise against using AI and stock pictures.

If your product is New In Box, stock pictures do show what is in the box, but include at least one photo of the boxed item that shows you have it in your possession and it will not be shipped from overseas.

Item Specifics are not for the buyer but for SEO's , search engines like Google, and are meant to give you visibility on the entire web, not just eBay.

I only use html description templates when listing from a tablet or my phone rather than writing everything out. I just copy and paste my title into the template which has shipping info and hotlinks to the category on the store page. That way I can sit on the couch and be productive while pretending to show interest in my wife's program. 😜

I use templates, but not just for descriptions.  I set up templates for common categories I sell in and common types of stuff I sell.  I fill out each template the best I can.  I will fill in as many ISBs as I can and/or set up new ones that I will usually use on that type of item.  Then I have the basic description with area for adding the unique words needed for the item to actually be sold.  And then always my TOS are in my templates.

I've done this since we lost TurboLister and it serves me well.
