Using Amazon FBA fulfilment. What to do with Item Location policy?

Hi guys.

I am a seller from Ukraine. We have moved most of our stock from Ukraine in the US to Amazon warehouses to make shipping to our customers faster and safer.
Our account has been flagged as violating eBay Item Location policy.
We cannot know the exact location of each product, because Amazon distributes goods throughout lots of warehouses and ships the goods to the client from the warehouse closest to the client.
What do we need to do? What item location to specify?
How do the thousands of other sellers who use Amazon to fulfill their orders deal with this problem?

Buyers don't need that information, because the seller has a "No returns" policy.  So the only returns would be under claims for item not as described, for which postage would be paid by the seller.

@nobody*s_perfect  thank you so much for your response. And to all who are trying to help me.

First of all, I want to let you know that my account is active now because passed 3-day restriction for violation Item Location policy. Unfortunately, that does not mean that I resolved my problem. Next time they can restrict me for a 7 days.

I have contacted seller support, but nobody replied. I'm not sure what is the trigger for eBay for this violation - unknown city/state as 'USA' or tracking information of shipped orders that shows orders was shipped from multiple locations.

@nobody*s_perfect  may I please know, the tip that you gave in another thread: Put the word 'Multiple Locations' in city/state and 'USA' as a ZIP. Is this solution suitable for ebay support? Why you are thinking that this will work?

@janet9988  we have NO RETURNS policy. @nobody*s_perfect  said correctly. Returns to Ukraine will be expensive, so we are resolving any issue without return. In all cases my buyers are happy â€Œâ€ŒðŸ¤—

I have bought items from many sellers who state just that.  And it is true, they have their goods in many warehouses all across the US waiting to be sold.  There are huge warehouses in California and other places that have brought the goods here to avoid the long waits from overseas.  Though the 'new' China 'speedpak' is really fast also.

I know...shouldn't buy from China, but dang it, sometimes that's the only place making something I need.  At a price I can afford.

I cannot promise that my solution will protect you from further restrictions.  As we all know, it's not safe to assume that it's OK to do something just because other sellers are getting away with it.  I wonder if it might be safer for you to just show one specific  location even though this would technically be the type of misrepresentation that eBay forbids.

Re: Using Amazon FBA fulfilment. What to do with Item Location policy?

I am actually a buyer of the opposite side of this type of situation.

My only thing I can think is a similar situation that would be considered as location policy violations, free shipping or otherwise, is if a tracking number is provided for the buyer for the actual product purchased.

In this type of situation if seller is located in Ukraine, but the actual product package is being shipped/handled by Amazon fulfillment services in one of a variety of different physical locations, is the tracking number and company matching what is actually printed on the shipping label of the delivered package to the buyers address? Or do you supply a tracking number for a company that has nothing to do with the actual tracking number of the Amazon fulfillment services attached label which will be handled by usps to the destination address?

I am having such problems with a purchase that was free shipping item location for Phoenix AZ. The actual delivered package was a Amazon fulfillment services package that came from the Bondurant Iowa Amazon location. The tracking number is for a company that is based out of Saudi Arabia as if they were actually the company that was in physical possession of the package but they had the initial location of the package accepted in Miami Florida, and arrives in Bondurant Iowa exactly 34 minutes after it was accepted in Miami.

When opened it was discovered to not be the actual item purchased, contacted the seller who said they would have to check if they have any of the correct item "in stock". I have not received any more responses from them but I have noticed that they have edited the product details and made them look like the wrong item was what the listing was for and not what it actually had been for.

I have questioned the seller as well as stated I was aware of this questionable behavior and if he had any "in stock" or not did not have any bearing on what Amazon fulfillment services put into the package to be delivered to me.

This I feel is what the location misrepresentation policy violations are for preventing to happen.

If Amazon fulfillment is used by the sellers who also provide tracking information, that information provided be what is actually being used and visible on the delivered package. If it doesn't match it seems misrepresentation is exactly the correct term for this.

I personally have never sold anything on eBay, but I have been buying since the early days of eBay.

Amazon as a online shopping experience is a complete dumpster fire rapidly becoming a new version of what shopping on the wish(...*sales weren't scams) app/website for the majority of sellers.

I have preferred eBay for how less likely buying something was a scam or "shady" in some way.

Maybe I need to look into this location policy and what is expected of both the seller and the buyer for compliance and due diligence for both parties.

This is just a devils advocate type of thing that even if the location is "multiple locations" and zip code as "USA", the location misrepresentation could still show up as an issue for violations.
