So I tried to turn on the automated unpaid item assistant after 2 non payers happened in short sequence and guess what. My default is 32 days. Thirty. two. days. I feel inspired to make a meme out of it. I went to edit conditions and guess what! None of the hyperlinks does a single thing. I click, nothing happens.
Any ideas why this is and how can I fix it? Will I have to call customer support?
Thank you!

You don't have to call CS. 32 days is the default if your other preferences are set up to allow buyers to make combined payments for up to 30 days. If you disable that option then you can choose a different timeframe for the UPI assistant.

Will I have to call customer support? OP
Probably so unless someone else comes a long with a suggestion . I have unpaid item assistance and it seems to be working okay . Try tech support . Good luck - Tulips

Hi, I haven't used the unpaid item assistant in a long time, but in the past you could use the drop-down menu for that specific transaction and turn off the unpaid item assistant. That will be effective for that transaction only. Then you can manually close the upi after 4 days.
Then make sure you go to your site preferences and change the assistant to something more reasonable.

Oh I see, so it's another option determining that. How do I change so that buyers don't have 30 days for combined payments?

Go to account settings- site preferences
Scroll down to shipping preferences
Next to "offer combined payments and shipping" click Edit
You can adjust your combined payment settings on the next page.
