Hello. I don’t believe I have used this form before so I apologise if I get anything wrong.
I sold an item a few days ago, a pair of shoes in a size 7, buyer claimed they are not a size 7 and their “proof” was images they sent to me. The images they took of the item I sent clearly showed the exact same item on the listing with the size 7 stickers showing thus proving the item is a size 7 and that they have received exactly what they ordered. Their further “proof” was comparing the shoes I sent to a random pair of shoes they already own.
I contacted eBay earlier on today, as my item listing/description matched to what they received, for some advice. Was told I could refuse to take the return on the grounds of buyer’s remorse if they did open a case them eBay could look into it as I sent them the correct size.
So this buyer has now left me negative feedback and I don’t know whether that is fair or not as both the sticker on the item and the stamp inside the shoe say that the item is a size UK 7.
Please can anyone advise me on whether I should contact eBay about this negative feedback tomorrow, or whether the buyer is allowed to leave missleading feedback claiming the item description is incorrect, when it is not and the images they sent to me prove this.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

if the buyer loses the case for a refund, then yes, Ebay will remove the feedback. Since you dont take returns, which usually covers remorse returns, you should be ok. The size seven is marked clearly on the shoes.

As a UK seller, you will want to check the UK discussion boards to make sure procedures for ebay.co.uk are the same as they are for ebay.com (mainly North America), or to see if any UK sellers have already encountered a similar issue and, if so, how they resolved it.

Good luck!

I'm not completely sure if the same rules for the US site apply to the UK site, so I'm reluctant to give you any advice.
My first reaction was to cringe a bit about the advice the CSR gave you about refusing to take a return. For a US seller that would be very bad advice but I don't know if that holds true for the UK site.
Do you get on Social media. You can contact Ebay on social media and maybe they could help you.

It's important to be aware of where you post a question on Ebay’s Facebook page. A comment on one of Ebay’s marketing posts won't be answered, but comments posted directly on Ebay’s page will.
