Unfair refund request

As a seller today I'm very disappointed.A customer asks me for a refund.Actually is is not a request but an compelling.Actually was an auctioned item.We all know that we often make a loss or a small profit from such goods.I actually sent it with a profit of about $1.She or he chose the free shipping method and now asks for a full refund after I ship the item day before yesterday. She/he says the estimated delivery time is longer & she/he will change her/his address soon.I said that i like to partial refund. But she/he says no.And she /he says she will report me & leave a negetive feedback. Why do customers behave so unfairly. What should I do for that?

Re: Unfair refund request

While unfair,  I suspect that you are going to have a lot of complaints with a delivery window of two to two and a half months.

Re: Unfair refund request

If I purchased an item from you today, the estimated delivery date is any time between August 30 and October 26. Even though the buyer saw a similar range of dates, I just don't understand why anyone would buy from an overseas seller who is dropshipping from China.

If your buyer has not filed for a refund through eBay's return/refund process, you are not obligated to refund his/her money.

The buyer can leave you a negative feedback rating and comment. That's the risk you run if you're a seller in Sri Lanka dropshipping from China. Expect more negative feedback in the future.

Re: Unfair refund request

WHOA!!!!

And there are those smarter eBay minds posting as I was typing. I didn't realize you had such an unrealistic delivery window.

Disregard my post all together on this one

Re: Unfair refund request

I am guessing the buyer got lured in by the first picture (or two) and only later realized, after perusing the rest of the listing, that those pictures are actually stock pictures, which is when the buyer got cold feet.

I do agree a lengthy shipping window isn't likely to have helped matters.

Re: Unfair refund request

It is the customer's fault for not paying attention to the delivery date "before" they made the purchase.  Customer cannot "report you" to EBAY because you did nothing wrong.

This customer is being a big jerk and will probably leave "negative feedback" unless they get a refund.  Be sure to add their name to your "blocked bidder" list.

I am very sorry this happened to you.
