I haven't participated in a Community Chat before but felt compelled to today to underscore my feelings -- shared by multitudes of fellow eBayers -- about the removal of Classic View and the horrible mess we sellers are being forced to navigate because of it. However, for some reason I was unable to post a comment or even add to one, getting this message: "Access Denied - You don not have sufficient privileges for this resource or its parent to perform this action." How helpful is that??
I hope that you're getting inundated with complaints about this travesty. There was no warning, and you removed a tool that obviously many members used and found quick, efficient and effective, not to mention easy to read and use. The new screens are messy, way too large, time-consuming, non-functional.
Please listen to your sellers! Count the number of complaints you've received this week already -- calls, e-mails, comments on the discussion boards -- and read them all. Then, DO THE RIGHT THING and give us the option to go back to using the Classic View! It seems to me that any business would want not only to make their customers happy and productive, but do everything possible to grow their business. Happy sellers = happy buyers = win for all!

Hmmm ( 97 Stanley Cup must be Detroit Red Wings back 2 back!)
I have got to take a peek at this page everyone's buzzing about, been so busy with my store. Will do that now..
But isn't it odd that major businesses want to make changes during this pandemic?

I can't post a response to certain posts on here either.... usually it's from the "eBay community" poster...
They can get a deluge of complaints... but it still won't change... they don't care about seller's complaints...
I mean, that's the vibe I get being a seller here.
I got a survey the other day, that said if I responded, I'd be entered in a drawing to win some Visa $500 gift card.... that's not why I answered.. I answer to give them some blatant truths...
Honestly... I think I have a better chance of being abducted by aliens than I have of winning that gift card when I blasted eBay in the survey..
Just sayin, I highly doubt it will ever be rewarded to someone who gave honest, but negative reviews.

I didn't sell one thing tonight, first time in a while. I guess they will get no fees from me tonight.

I've been reading over the comments/complaints from sellers over the past few days about the "disappearance" of the classic view page, and have commented on it myself several times. I get 200 free listings a month, and can't imagine what a cluster this must be for sellers with hundreds or thousands of listings! Any business that receives this many complaints in such a short period of time about the same thing should sit up and take notice -- and then ACT ON IT. There's no shame in admitting you made a mistake, in fact people tend to respect you more if you do. I too have been looking into other options for selling, and intend to pursue them.
By the way, I've been involved in some sort of customer service most of my life (on line, phone center, in person behind a counter, service dispatch -- 30+ years) and know the difference between good customer service (rare and valuable) and bad (common as dandelions in March). It's a vastly underrated job that is a reflection of how you treat your customers (and sellers ARE customers, as they generate revenue) and can make or break your business. Continually apologizing and saying you understand the customer's concerns are empty gestures unless you follow up with corrective action.

This was my first time participating in a Community Chat and I doubt I will do it again. It was a colossal waste of time. Sorry you were unable to get your feelings heard. I did, but got a response from a team member that Classic View pretty much stays the way it is. I think if you go to "Community Chat, March 24.." you will see the questions and opinions of eBay members and if you click on "Edit: Reply to this post can be read here" you will see the the team members' response. They will change nothing. Take it or leave it seems to be the response.
