I‘ve sent out offers on a listing. Then another buyer messaged me with an offer which I would like to accept, but the offer is just in messages. I tried to edit the listing to show “Make an Offer” but eBay isn’t allowing that. Is that because there are offers still pending? I thought the listing stayed open to all until someone pays?

That's correct, but as a workaround, you can often send the offer in Messages. If you don't see that option, then you can simply end the listing and relist it at the price the customer agreed on or with Make An Offer enabled, to work around that. Usually it's not a good solution, but if you've got someone ready to buy it should be a good option.

Correct, with an outstanding offer most revisions aren't permitted. I was able to revise my price, though, when I had this same thing happen to me. You might try that and advise your buyer.

Usually, I see a "reply with offer" on a message like that......? If you've had more that the first message from the buyer, it will only show on the first message........but you can go back to that and still reply with offer.....

I opted to end the listing and relist with the buyers offer price and made the sale! Thanks everyone.

Never had anyone who actually bought a listing that I edited the price of just for them besides old customers.
