"The Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest in Kitchener and Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, is billed as Canada's largest and the world's second-largest Oktoberfest, drawing over 700,000 visitors annually. It's held every October, starting on the Friday before Canadian Thanksgiving and running through the following Saturday. The festival features a variety of activities, including over 40 cultural events, Festhallen (fest halls) with beer and food, and the popular Thanksgiving Day parade."
The Elora Gorge is close by - great to visit in the fall https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elora_Gorge

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the good stuff is kept at home. Corona had a great advertising campaign and US consumption rode on that. Tecate and Dos Equis are not bad at all, though, and pair really well with good Mexican food!
Disclaimer - I'm a beer freak. I even write little beer articles and go overseas to brew festivals.
I'm not much of a drinker either, but we usually buy Tecate when we do.

I think it's Day of the Dead they're closed for.
I enjoy the Day of the Dead parades and the bread. With the growing mexican population in the US, hopefully their influence will increase the celebrations of their traditions.

My friend who is a family doctor doesn’t care much for doctor Google. Many patients think doctor google is smarter than the human doctors.

Given recent history, yeah, they probably do... 😄
They do, it's just called 'Good Riddance Day'.
Yea, till the War of 1812, WWI, WWII.
War of 1812 was about trade and territory.

Such a jokester !!! Just from the name I think the vast majority of people realize this is not a US holiday.

Day of the Dead starts on Halloween in the USA. I think it is a three day celebration. I could be wrong on that. Not a federal holiday.

Yes. I was kidding.
ETA: We can have "British Invasion" day - sometime in 1964.

It's for 2 days, from 11/1-11/2

The day after St. Paddy's day should be a Federal Holiday, given that a lot of people aren't very alert then, anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised if June 14th becomes a new Federal holiday.
