I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the good stuff is kept at home. Corona had a great advertising campaign and US consumption rode on that. Tecate and Dos Equis are not bad at all, though, and pair really well with good Mexican food!
Disclaimer - I'm a beer freak. I even write little beer articles and go overseas to brew festivals.

No, they're open as usual. And before you ask: they are also open on Bastille Day and Guy Fawkes Day.
Hey, you're welcome. 😄

Actually, in my city the holiday drinking starts on Friday and ends on Monday night this year.
Bars will be packed for 4 days...
I saw people today hauling crates of Pacifico and Corona beer from the store. A holiday that truly commemorates bad lager.
Always thought Pacifico was a nice choice, Corona, not so much.

I'll give Pacifico another try (sometimes I do lager tastings and add some macros) - no more Corona for me, though.

Mexican food is total different south of the border than it is north of the border and it is diff north of the border in states like Cali, AZ, NM and Texas. Prefer Tex Mex. Funny story. We lived and I worked in the Houston area and my responsibilities was to manage sales of 6 dealers throughout Mexico. On occasions a distributor in Mexico would bring a prospective customer to Houston to see our manufacturing and product support facilities - our brand Mitsubishi was never sold in Mexico ever before. On this day they brought Coca-Cola. I suggested a top shelf steak house, they said no they wanted to have Mexican food that they the couldn't get in Mexico. I said WHAT are you talking about? Yes we want to have some fajita's. that can't get in our country. They like messing with my head - I spoke poquito espanol . Took 'em to Ma Ma Citos (a long time top shelf Tex-Mex in Houston). Good news, in the end we receive an order for 121 forklifts. Now I B Happy too.

@hartungcards The more pressing question is: Will the PO be closed next Thursday, May 8th, for "Victory Day for World War 2." Also, prepare to change your calendar for November 11th, which will no longer be Veteran's Day, but will become "Victory Day for World War 1".
I don't think the Executive Order has been issued yet, nor am I sure National Holidays can be designated by Executive Order, so I guess we're still in wait and see mode.

@hartungcards wrote:"No. That's not a USPS holiday."
Well, it should be.
Why, isn't that more to do with Mexico?

Its not a US holiday.
It is a holiday in a foreign country.
And, this is the decade of America First.
Think they celebrate 4th of July in England?

@hartungcards Well, this might provide an answer :
"Executive Orders for One-Time Holidays:
Presidents can issue executive orders to declare a one-time federal holiday, such as declaring a day of mourning or a special observance. These orders are binding for federal employees for pay and leave purposes.
Congressional Authority for Permanent Holidays:
To establish a holiday that is a permanent fixture on the federal calendar, congressional approval is required. This involves passing a law that designates the holiday, which then requires the president's signature. "
So presumably, the President would have the power to designate May 8th a Federal Holiday via Executive Order, but this would not make it a permanent holiday. So, keep an eye on the news to know whether you'll be able to ship via USPS this coming Thursday....

Some people on this thread don't seem to be getting the humor.

@chapeau-noir I think it's funny that there's no chance the PO will be closed Monday, but there actually is a chance, however slim, that it could be closed for a brand new holiday on Thursday. In any event, Happy Victory Over WW 2 Day to you and yours!

LOL - yeah- whoopee - a new holiday celebrated at the wrong time and named the wrong thing. 🤣
