Hi all! Just wondering about the USPS label adjustments and if anyone has any experience with this. So about a month ago I sent a package weighing around 16lb via USPS Priority Mail. I paid around $50 for it. I thought all was fine and the item was delivered Nov 19. But right now Dec 5 I just received an email and PayPal charge for $46 more for that label. I don't understand why I was charged so much more? Maybe the package was a pound or 2 off but to charge $46 a couple weeks later is insane. Anyone have any experience with this? This seems a bit excessive! At this rate I should have sent the package 2 day fedex for that price

You can appeal and win, I have, follow the instructions in the email. It helps to send a link to a picture of the item itself with it's dimensions and weight.
What is your zip code? What is the zip code where it was going? How much did the box weight? What are the exact measurements of the box?

Sounds like a dimensional weight issue.
If the package is over 1 cubic foot you need to select Large Package and not just Package when buying your label.

Thank you. I just emailed them right now with all of the info. I think the measurement of the box was off as well honestly. Just annoying to get a charge weeks after delivery lol. Thanks for your help!

Thank you! I think it might have been. I did select large package but we'll see what they say since I sent them an email about it. Cheers!

Selecting "Large" doesn't matter. You have to enter the package dimensions accurately for any box over 1 cubic foot (1728 cubic inches) so you pay for the "dimensional weight."
Charges under the APV system usually take a couple of weeks to show up. Perhaps because some are double-checked by actual humans.
