@Anonymous, I hope it's OK to re-post this question here... it did not get a response in the chat.
With the new USPS rates there is no longer a price difference between Commercial Base and Commercial Plus. Will eBay offer a discount to sellers who qualify for CommPlus that will be a cost-savings over the USPS published rates?
That is was one of the perks of being a TRS and it would be a good way for eBay to regain shipping label business that sellers have taken to 3rd party shipping services.
CommPlus was not eliminated as Base and Plus are both on the DMM. CommPlus and CommBase rates are going to be the same though.

@nobody*s_perfect, I was too haha! Despite Commercial Plus changing, we (eBay) are going to ensure that the discount Top Rated and volume sellers received will remain. Sellers will not be getting a Commercial Plus discount, they will be getting a discount provided by eBay. Ultimately, these sellers will get the same amount / percentage off and will not see a difference in the discount percentage they receive.

Hi @beardedbovine! I've heard back about this. Top Rated Sellers will continue receiving their discounts off of Priority Mail rates when they purchase their labels on eBay.

Just for to be sure we are understanding your reply, will sellers with Top Rated Seller status continue to receive an additional discount similar to the CommPlus discount that appears to be going away?
Thanks

Hi @dtexley3 ! Top Rated Sellers and sellers who ship 300+ items per month on eBay will continue to receive an additional discount on Priority USPS labels, as they do today.

Thank you Brian.

TRS & high-volume sellers received the published Commercial Plus rates as opposed to the Commercial Base rates (which are higher)
However, USPS no longer offers a discount for Commercial Plus. It is the same pricing as Commercial Base.
So even though TRS will still receive the same benefits, there aren't any savings over non-TRS sellers now.

brian@ebay
Wasn't insurance coverage on Priority $100.00 for Comm plus & $50.00 for Comm?
And how will that work now?

TRS have been paying the Commercial Plus rate for Priority Mail postage. Starting on January 27, that price will be identical to the Commercial Base rate. The whole point of the original question is because there will no longer automatically be an additional discount for sellers who pay the Commercial Plus rates.
So: What discount WILL TRS get? Will they continue to get a discount of about 3% off of the published Commercial Base rate?

I don't think I understand how we would expect to get a discounted rate that will no longer exist![]()
My understanding is that it was never an "eBay" discount.

Hi @nobody*s_perfect! While Commercial Plus rates are changing, the discount Top Rated and volume sellers receive will not be. The shipping team has confirmed with me that the same discount will still apply going forward. It sounds like that discount isn't linked to Commercial Plus, but the discount will remain nonetheless. Top Rated and volume sellers will also continue to receive $100 insurance on Priority labels purchased on eBay.
