When I was shipping my packages this morning I saw a sign on the door of my post office saying that the USPS will be closed on 1/9/25 in observance of Jimmy Carter. It said normal operations will resume on the 10th.
I have not seen any eBay statement/memo regarding this like they do for weather delays. How is this going to effect my orders if I am unable to ship? Has this ever happened before? Maybe it has and I just never noticed

There has been an extensive thread about it, including confirmation from an eBay staff member : "The National Day of Observance for Former President Jimmy Carter on Thursday, January 9 is a public holiday andd is not considered a working day for shipping and will not be included in estimated delivery date calculations." Yes, eBay should make an official announcement rather than relying on one staff comment buried in a thread here in Community.

Ebay rep Elizabeth posted on another thread that this date will not be counted for shipping.

Thanks for the replies. I figured it would be taken care of like the other usual stuff.
