Trying to sell an item. Ebay's software keeps telling me the UPC doesnt exist. Even though there are other sellers listing the same thing with the exact UPC number. It tells me to change it or leave it blank. So I tried leaving it blank. But no, it insists on a UPC number, but wont take it! I tried putting "Does not apply" also, but wont take that either. It will not let me list this item! Help!

Hmmm…what is the item?

Try N/A could possibly work.

robbie31415 I have used N/A as well before. If that does not work, check to make sure you are entering the whole UPS number. Many will leave off the smaller numbers on the Left and Right side of the UPC code.
See below. The full UPC number on this one starts with the 0 and ends with the 2
Not saying the OP is not including the whole number but i have seen many who make this mistake.

As others have advised, just don't enter it. Put "does not apply" or n/a and it should work. It does for me.
Happy Selling

Is your item (as you noted— identical to others listed) in the same category as others listed? Some categories may be ineligible for the UPC code you have.
Have also heard of a work-around —Try switching from listing on the app or smartphone to a pc. From the quick listing tool to the advanced listing tool.
If we knew what item, give us better insight.

If you can't enter the number manually, post a photo of the retail tag with UPC code.
I have listed NWT vintage items and entered the UPC numbers with no issue.
