Well, I may have to give up selling on Ebay. I just spent 30 minutes typing in a description on my listing. This all started when the AI option came about. I hate those stupid AI descriptions, so I don't use them. So, typing in the description of the item myself is slow as molasses! It takes forever for 2-3 letters to come up on the screen. And, why Is that? Is it to deter us from not using AI? Anyone else experiencing this?

I think the problem with the lag entering data in the description but not a lag anywhere else points to an eBay problem, and aligns with the problems I had for months with descriptions disappearing (but no other data disappearing and no other problems with other utilities on my PC or laptop). I finally started just copy/pasting descriptions into another document and replacing them when they would disappear during listing. Sometimes they disappeared when I would load the listing AFTER it had been published and I would have to go back and rewrite them.
It would be a strange thing if low memory caused thrashing or some other similar phenomenon in only one particular small function (one frame in one page) and nowhere else.
@jodieblue57 I would advise using the idea upthread to write your descriptions elsewhere and simply drop them into the description frame before quitting anything. My problems with disappearing descriptions (which had been reported by some others) finally resolved but it took a few months. I have no idea why it happened or why it happened to some and not others.

Type up your listing descriptions in a private document before you go onto the eBay site, then cut & paste your description into the listing generation box. Nobody said you have to use AI. Think and act for yourself. 🙂
