I recently listed a 2-piece suit without the exact measurements included, although I mentioned in the description I would provide them upon request. This morning I received two messages from different buyers asking about the measurements, 1 asked about pants, another the jacket. The buyers seem legit, they both have several hundred positive feedbacks.
I was wondering if this is some sort of scam, I’m suspicious since the messages both arrived within a minute of each-other. Also neither responded when I told them I would be able to do it in a few hours when I returned home. Thanks.

I'm surprised you didn't get 8-10 messages asking for the measurements in rapid succession.

So listing without measurements was somewhat of an experiment in your mind?

You are surprised? Really? Maybe there are a lot of potential buyers who think like I do. If the seller cannot take the time to include information that's important in clothing purchases online, then I cannot take the time to ask for measurements.

I've had a sudden rush of questions in my message box, too. At first, I thought "wow, what's with these buyers that they aren't reading the description."
But then I figured out the reason why.
Ebay just rolled out a change on the listings.
THE DESCRIPTION IS ONLY ACCESSED THROUGH A "DESCRIPTION" TAB.
When a buyer clicks on your listing, they only see the item specifics, which are not exactly buyer friendly.
It's not immediately apparent that you have to click on a tab to read the description.
I know when I'm looking to buy, if I see a listing with no description, or a one sentence description, I immediately back click. It's a big turn off for me.
I worry buyers won't catch on to this for awhile, and wonder how many sales I am losing.
(FYI - I've read that not everyone is seeing this change - this is happening on my MacBook/Chrome, and my Ipad, but not my phone.)
So, the moral of my story is: Be patient with buyers and answer courteously. It could very well not be their fault.
