Are any other sellers out there having as much trouble as me getting help when calling ebay's 800 help line? First of all ,I can usually only call in the evening eastern time. After 9:00 pm. Recently 10-13-18 I waited over 45 minutes before anyone answered. And then I was cut off with no callback. I called back 15 min wait then cut off again 3 times total and of course when you call back you have to start completely over with a different person from the Phillipines whom quite frankly I can barely understand their English sometimes. I want to be fair though, most of the time they are quite friendly helpful and knowledgeable but not always.
Tonight it has happened again and I just have to take the time io tell someone. Not a long wait before I got a rep, then I asked the ebay rep a very what seemed to be simple question. She could not answer and immediately put me on hold without telling me she was going to. When she came back she said she had to ask someone else and was going to put me on hold, after I had said you should tell someone before you put them on hold. I asked if she could please call me back when she found an answer. I asked for an estimate on how long that would be and she wasn't sure. Well that was at 10:22 pm it is now nearly 12:00 am Did she mean today she would call back ? Tomorrow? next Monday? What the heck? Who can I complain to besides one of the same people I am asking about selling issues? Isn't there someone up a notch? Some one in management needs to know. I have been trying very hard to start a store, but I just don't have the time for this, is any anyone else having these kind of problems? I mean, am I even asking in the right place?
PLEASE HELP............EXTREME FRUSTRATION..............

A simple search brings up the answers you need. Many times a call to CS is not needed if you research what you are looking for.

Hopefully you have considered that the sales you have been getting will offset the cost of the store so you aren't opening a store that will cost you money needlessly.

What is your question ? Many people who come here saying it was an "easy question" just want to hear the answer they are looking for and not the actual real answer. That may not be your case but that is how CS gets a bad rep. Most likely we can answer the question without you even you having to pick up a phone.

I posted the link in my post directly above yours.

OK, it was a long single paragraph and I read through it but the question was at the very end. lol

It's difficult indeed. Imagine needing to call eBay US from a different country and paying for every minute (18 cents) you listen to that terrible eBay hold music only to finally reach a CSR to get either a wrong, different (as in different to the answer(s) you had previously received via facebook/twitter/e-mail support) or nonsensical answer to your question/inquiry.

It has been rumored that the reason for so many callers are put on hold is because the reps have to come here, to the boards, to find the answers to the caller's questions. Sometimes, if there is a limited knowledge of English, it can take longer to find the answers, if ever.

You can post on today's Weekly Chat (every Wed 4 PM EST) ... It may not be a convenient time based on your original post that your best calling time is after 9 PM EST ...

Just for info.........you can also ask questions on the Ebay for Business Face Book Page........they can answer via email which may be more convenient.
BUT if it's a simple question, it could probably be answered here....
edit: Mr. L. not directed at you, but at the Original Poster....... I tend to just hit reply on these questions.

Yes, definitely try posting a clear, factual summary of your experience to the Weekly Chat. (The link to today's chat should appear soon here.) In extreme cases, they have said that they're able to track down recordings of the call(s) to Customer Service and review them, in case "retraining" will be necessary.
To be honest, I would never wait more than, say, 15 minutes on hold for anything. If the hold runs longer than that, I doubt they're coming back, unless they said up front that I should expect to be waiting that long, and if that's the case, I would probably just request a callback instead. It shouldn't take more than 15 minutes for even the most inept CS rep to consult with someone else and get back to me.

Good CSRs cost you a monthly fee.

Another important thought~
Many times someone wants to open a store because they think that will raise their selling limits. It won't. Ebay might consider raising limits after 90 days and there is no guarantee that they will actually raise them at that time.
You need to consider if a store will meet your needs.

@gilbertb704
You can always find help here on the community boards
I don't call CS often & when the need arises I always go through A to Z policy link & move to the bottom to check what wait times for calling in or return calls are
I never call first & sit on hold.
Evenings have never been a great time for me, I do better mid morning or afternoon
Link I use & move bottom & here is what the time shows for now
Easy as clicking the icon & getting the phone number & your pin .

eBay customer assistance has deteriorated so badly. My sales are way down because of the idiotic app update in August where you have no choice about duration of your listing, etc. I am not using the app currently which at least doubles my time spent listing. Today when calling eBay financial dept. I was left on hold for 90 minutes without the courtesy of them offering a callback instead of me wasting my time on hold which was so unprofessional. This has happened on multiple occasions. Obviously eBay is not concerned about small business enterprise and I am seriously considering closing my seller account to move on.
