After busting our butts for a few sales we have decided to go another route Will still be adding a few items here and there but to us when you almost have to give things away anymore it's time. eBay has made it too difficult on us sellers to really give a **bleep** anymore.
They don't like your price so they give it an auto best offer that you didn't know they did and so on. EBay wants to conrtol every aspect of the business you have built for 20 years. I realize that some of you do quite well here.
Bottom line for us..eBay is not here to help ...it's to make investors happy which is proving very difficult for them lately as I checked their stock price and it won't get any better I believe as sellers leave the site in the rear view mirror. Good luck to all of you.
We are happy for you. It's not fun anymore. Have no incentive to continue with a deadend very much. NOT complaining just simple facts.

eBay is a publicly-traded corporation. They are in business to maximize shareholder value, and nothing else. It's not a "community", it doesn't have to be "fun" and yes, they control the marketplace.
I am also aggressively moving stuff off to the other sales channels my own ecommerce corporation uses, ever since the Spring Seller update made it clear that they're giving in to anything a buyer wants, including abusive returns.
But just be clear - management is doing nothing wrong by trying to increase shareholder value. Myself, I think they're making gigantic mistakes in judgment and I'm glad that I don't own stock in the corp. They're chasing off the very best sellers. eBay is not my company's main sales channel anyway.

Taking a picture and writing a description is definitely a lot of work for no return. Yes, I would never stay somewhere that I hate that bad. Maybe it will be greener on the other side. Good luck over there.

They are also chasing away some of the best buyers with their total control of every part of the sellers listings.
Many of the sellers are also buyers.
I know for myself ,that If they ever get rid of the free listings.I won't be buying or selling on here because of things like adding the best offer to your listing after a day or couple of days later.

I think I sweat bullets trying over and over to get the perfect photos and even then after all is up and listed I can still see errors . I'm currently using another venue to sell my stuff as well as on e bay . For the most part the potential buyers on the other site who have contacted me '' flake out '' for the lack of a better term . They make contact expressing interest and then if you respond ,, you never hear from them again.. However by using that other site I have gained one steady customer who has already purchased several customs orders from me in just a short time . She sort of makes it worth staying with it . Tulips

Sorry to hear that. You have many great points for wanting to leave. You have to get excited about what your doing it makes life just a little bit better. Not many sellers have a lot to be excited to sell hear.

Do you purchase stock to resell? Do you do any research to determine what buyers are buying or looking for? Do you research what other items like yours have sold for in teh past or if they have sold at all? I think a lack of market for many items is the problem not Ebay. Ebay allows you to list items but they cant make buyers buy stuff they dont want.
