Troll and inaccurate feedback

I am really struggling these days with customer feedback issues.  Both negative and neutral reviews for silly stuff.......

Today was the latest as the customer left a review that he didnt like the factory packaging and last week that a product was too precise.

And then additionally I had a buyer request to cancel and item with a refund but then left a neutral review that he never got the item.

I have struggled for years to keep a 100% seller rating and in fact went over 25000 reviews at 100% and now all the silly stuff popping up.

I had some hope that after the recent "ebay open" that this situation would improve but seems to have only gotten worse.

Really at a loss here because once you start getting negative reviews people seem to just pile on.

Does ebay actually ever do anything about stuff like this?

Same thing happens with book reviews.  My sister just published her 21st book.  Sometimes the reviews on the major worldwide sites have nothing to do with the book but more to do with the horrible shipping problems everywhere.  These types of reviews do get removed upon notification but it's a pain.

Re: Troll and inaccurate feedback

Your rating is 99.5%.  One of eBay's best sellers.  No one is going to hesitate to buy from you.

You should be concerned about the one who said the picture showed it in the original pack and it came in a box.

I know that a seller with your knowledge and experience knows that the seller can respond to FB.  But he should only do it in a calm and professional manner and you know that too.

You can click on 'request a revision for feedback' at this link and request the buyer to change the feedback.

Re: Troll and inaccurate feedback

Before doing that, a seller needs to make certain that the buyer is willing to make the change.

Re: Troll and inaccurate feedback

One of the neutrals you got was for cancelling an order. Stating in the listing description that something doesn't ship to HI or AK doesn't matter. What matters is your shipping settings, @paraquip. There's an option to exclude Hawaii and Alaska to prevent the sale from occurring in the first place, so if you don't plan to ship there then you need to set up your shipping restrictions properly. Let us know if you need help with that.

The guy that didn't like the packaging received something different than what was pictured. I wouldn't leave a neg over different packaging if the item was exactly the same, but obviously some buyers are pickier than others. Update your photos to show the box instead of the blister pack and that shouldn't happen again.

Most of the rest are for things like packages lost by the carrier where you added a reply saying the buyer was promptly refunded or for sellers that had a positive experience but left a neutral. None of that stuff would deter me from buying from you.

Even though this is bugging you, I think you're in overall great shape with FB.
