Transaction defect rate is wrong

Trying to figure out why I’m getting two different totals. 
On the non-app version my seller performance shows 179 transactions during a specific 12 month time period. 
when I use the app, click custom, and put in those exact dates I get 185. 
Why the difference?

One shows transactions and the other states quantity sold.  Maybe you sold more than one item to the same buyer in one transaction.  

You state the defect rate is wrong, but even if the larger number is used it doesn't change the defect rate enough to save you from that many cancellations.
