Anyone having an issue with Ebays tracking numbers lately? Within the past month or so I've had customers contact me asking why their tracking number shows the item in another state but then hours later they will get the item delivered and ebay doesn't update the tracking until that night or the next day.
Normally I wouldn't care about this glitch but the newest one is I had a sale and the tracking number showed it was delivered to the customer on February 25th which led to the customer contacting me asking what to do as they had no package......yet If i put in the tracking number directly into the Fedex webpage it showed the correct tracking and showed the package at a fedex facility still and then it got delivered on March 1st. as of today March 2nd ebay still shows the incorrect delivery date as Feb 25th.
Talking to a ebay rep through chat was a little frustrating as they just didn't seem to be getting my point until the end of the conversation and at one point even had the never to question me with, "the system will follow only the money and how sure you are that the buyer received the item a few days later?" are they serious? So I said because the customer confirmed it with me that they received the package on March 1st after contacting me the first time on Feb 25th when ebay showed it as delivered!
I said when ebays tracking doesn't add up correctly I tend to contact the customer and follow through until they receive the package, then they said "That's a good idea" SERIOUSLY EBAY?
