Really need help here. Sold a relatively expensive and rare scarf. Sent it by first class mail. It left NH on January 4th, was on the way to FL, and suddently the tracking info stopped being updated after January 6th, all it shows is - "On its way to JACKSONVILLE, FL 32246."
This is the tracking number: 9400109699937238820490
The buyer has extremely low feedback. Seems like she was checking the tracking info, because she started writing me messages pretty much every day starting Jan. 8th, asking where the item was.
Today I just got a message where the buyer demands to cancel the order, asks to refund back all the money, and "if the scarf will arrive - she will send it back", that she would not order it if she knew that would be a delay, that she understands that it is not my fault, but wants all her money and wants them now.
I do not know why but I have that sinking feeling that the item may have been delivered but not scanned on delivery, but of course who knows... I understand she has the right to demand her money. Yet, somehow I feel that I am being taken advantage of. Is there anything I can do? Really - anything at all?

Call ebay, upload the tracking info, and ask for an extension of time.
Eplain that the winter storm on the East Coast slowed things down.
Then call the Post Office and try to shake it loose.

^^ This. Or go to your own PO and see what they have in their system.
You may want to try to intercept the package and have it returned to you.

Can't ask ebay to extend if an INR case hasn't been opened yet . If they open a case you can request an extension but not sure ebay will do it.
But I would Go to www.USPS , input that tracking number and request updates, in the past this has started movement on my packages

The tracking info is uploaded on ebay to her purchase history as I always print the labels thru ebay. So I really do not know what extention I can ask for, she did not open the case, she just keeps sending messages.
Which post office should I call, mine or hers?

I already did that, i did not receive any updates from usps yet.

Since it sounds like she is going to return it anyway, I would call your local Post Office and try and recall the package back to you. I believe it costs $12.

It will arrive on Monday the weather slowed things down by a day or two. Whatever you do don't refund the buyer and allow them to return it when it arrives they'll keep the refund and chalk your item up as a gift....

Did you purchase insurance on the item?

No, there is no insurance, and I sent it by first class mail. It was a wool scarf, light item.

Is this just a member-to-member message/inquiry, or is it a Dispute?
If it's just a message, do nothing for the moment.
