Free returns will give you a 10% reduced seller fee. So on a 5000$ per month turnover is a mere 50$ gift. Not sure if it is worth it.

Adding to what was posted above, generally speaking ...

  • There is not much of a sales boost from 30-day returns to 30-day free returns ... maybe a 5% boost.
  • eBay does not give your listings more exposure with free returns.
  • The cost of returns will be more than the 10% discount you get on FVFs.

That said, there are a  few types of products where free-returns (TRS Plus) can really be beneficial.  These are typically low-weight items (First Class Package) that rarely have returns.

So rather than take the approach of having all your listings one way or another, be selective with how you apply TRS Plus and you should come out fine.

Top Rated Seller (TRS) is a seller status.

TR-Plus is a listing status, shown on listings that are set up by Tp Rated Sellers and which meet other criteria such as having 1-day handling and "free" 30-day returns.

So a TRS could have some listings that are TR-Plus but others that are not because for instance he has a longer handling time for those  items.
