Searched for answer but didn't find it (I'm search challenged I guess). My Overview page now shows I am Top Rated. I don't see it on my listings anywhere. Do I have to opt in? AND guess what - my sales just died. I'm not a big seller but since I reached the 200 listings i had been selling consistently. Now, nothing. Anyway, tell me about the Top Rated status please

I didn't find any info about benefits, except for Top Seller Plus. I don't intend to attain that level as I am not going to do free returns. Are there any benefits and is there anything showing on a listing that says you are Top Seller rated?

You are more than welcome, was happy I could help you some as I have learned a lot from other members that frequent this board and post their answers, opinions and suggestions.
Being top rated plus gives you a badge displayed on your listings showing you are top rated and you get a 10% discount on final value fees.
deciding to do that is going to be different from seller to seller, for some it may be worth it for others I can easily see where it would not be. I have heard you get better placement on your listings also but that whole subject could take pages with what does or doesn't help and some days it seems nothing helps but you have to just keep updating with the changes and chipping away.
I totally understand the whole not wanting to offer free returns aspect, We do offer them on our smaller (not freight) items and trust me when it comes to the used part business people will often order something first and then ask questions later only to find out what they ordered will not fit their vehicle.
Good luck , I wish you well.
*anything I post is my opinion and not necessarily that of the company and my employer*

THERE IS A SMALL BENEFIT to being a TRS taht no one mentioned.
1. Read this link https://pages.ebay.com/usps/USPSsavings.html. The savings is about 3% over the commercial rate discount you receive when you buy labels thru eBay. When we where a TR+ seller the commercial rate plus discount was greater. USPS cut back on the discount. Some will argue it was eBay that cut the discount but it is not true. Lost our TRS TR+ status several years ago do to annual sales qty. but would eventually have lost it anyway because I would not offer "free returns" on pre-owned items - that is 99.99% of what we sell.
2. The only place you will see the Top Rated seller is on your profile page that every eBay member can view by clicking on your feedback qty. Maybe there are other ways to get there but this is the way I know and use to check out a seller that I am considering buying something from.
If & when you qualify for a Top Rated+ Seller, you would get a badge on each of your listings that meets all the requirements. e.g. If you have a listing that you do not want to offer a free return or a local pick up item for any reason then you get no badge on that item

Top Rated Sellers receive $30.00 per quarter credit on promoted listings fees.
Some sellers say promoted listings are a waste of money, a money grab by eBay and clog up search pages. I have read in threads that some shoppers will not even click on a promoted listing because they are so against it. I use promoted listings and do have sales from the promoted listings.

Believe it or not know where Tolar, TX is - it is a little bigger than a wide spot in 377. Been to the State Park in Granbury and Glen Rose for several family reunions, my late father-in-law & mother -in- law lived in Cleburne - he was a preacher at Granbury Church of Christ, our daughter & son-in-law live in Mineral Wells, he was a girls basketball coach at Santo and now at Mineral Wells. We used to live in Waco (before the David Koresh event) and then to Houston area (Katy) in '84, then to Covington, GA in '96 (last stop - we hope).

This is Top Rated or Top Rated Plus?
The ONLY benefits to TRS Plus on your listings are two things.
1. The badge on your listings
2. 10% FVF discount, that works out to be about $10 for every $1,000 you sell.
There are NO OTHER benefits for TRS Plus. All other benefits are because you are TRS
Some of the Benefits as I remember them are.
1. Boost in search returns.
2. $30 coupon for Promoted listings quarterly
3. PM insurance is raised from $50 to $100
4. TRS Ribbon / Badge on your FB page
I don't think we have any additional USPS discount over other members anymore. I feel like I'm missing something. If anyone sees that, please add to the list.

1) Top Rated sellers get a better discount on postage. For instance, my Top Rated account paid about $2-$3 less for a one-pound First Class International package when compared to my non- Top Rated account.
2) Top Rated sellers get a boost in Best Match scores for their items, which may (or may not) be enough to move them higher in search results.
3) If you are Top Rated, your account has a bigger "cushion" to keep you away from being Below Standard (and incurring the additional 4% penalty fee rate).
4) As a Top Rated seller, you have option to create TRS Plus listings. Remember, TRS Plus is awarded on a listing-by-listing basis - so you can have TRS Plus on some listings and not on others. So if you have items that you know from experience are a low risk for returns, you can add TRS Plus to just those listings and manage your risk.

What does it do for you?
It is recognition from your buyers that you are a top of the line seller. It is recognition you are doing something right. It is something to keep working toward keeping.
That's an ego stroking, feel good kind of answer. Isn't that something we all need once in a while?
It's there for when you might get discouraged, because it reminds you how good a seller you are.
