To Subscribe or not to subscribe that is the question

Hi Team! New girl on the block here 🙂 Apparently I am not a subscribed store/seller. Is this necessary/helpful/worth it? I appreciate your feedback! P.s. Super slow for me so far any suggestions would be welcome. I value this community, wish you all the best in your endeavors and hope to be able to give back someday!

Re: To Subscribe or not to subscribe that is the question

I see you did open a store.  You really didn't need one yet, so I hope you have a Starter Store.  If you have a higher level store and you are doing a month to month, downgrade it to a Starter Store for now.  Don't do a yearly subscription yet.  It is simply too soon.

You do not need a Basic store until you are going to consistently run 300+ listings every month.

I don't typically advise new sellers to have any kind of store.  You first need to learn how to sell and it isn't as easy as jumping in and getting started.  There are rules that will trip you up from time to time.

Here are some important links to areas you should really take the time to learn about as a new seller.

Re: To Subscribe or not to subscribe that is the question

You've only sold 8 items and have 109 listed, so I would hold of on subscribing to a store.

Have a great day.

@leopardpawprints

I would kind of hold off on the store.  It's just an added expense unless you sell buku items.  Lots of clothing here on eBay.  The category I sell in is the same, rather saturated.

Cute store! Nice photos too!

Best of luck!

Happy Selling

Re: To Subscribe or not to subscribe that is the question

My best suggestion would be to cut your losses as quick as possible and not dig yourself a deeper hole. The items you have listed would have a difficult time selling at 50% your current prices.

Non-branded shirts with graphics and novelty type items do not do well on eBay. They can be sold in venues where you can drive traffic and create some sort of marketing strategy to entice buyers, but you would have to be getting the items for cents on the dollar.

I would also highly recommend you stay away from clothing shoes and accessories unless there’s the off chance where you come across well researched, incredible deals. But keep in mind, sales don’t scale up. Just because you sold 2 or 3 of a certain item, doesn’t mean you should go and buy 100 and get the same returns on investment.

Re: To Subscribe or not to subscribe that is the question

Thank you so much for your reply  and helpful links mam98031.  My store was set up as and integration with Printify, I have not subscribed to Ebay. (Unless it automatically comes with Printify integration). My previous storefront on another format was starting to pick up quarter 4 until Easter when my listing was banned for violence for using the words East Egg "H*nt" So, I moved my platform here and it has been slow going so far.

Hi dolcetreasures! Thanks so much for your input, I highly value all feedback. I suppose this is more of a hobby than a side hustle for me. I find designing highly enjoyable and fulfilling way to satisfy my creative side. So if it brings me a few bucks, great! :))

It could be that I don't understand what Printify is.  To my knowledge it is a drop shipping vendor.  It appears on their website you can connect your store, but that is the key thing "your store".  That would mean you are paying for a Store on Ebay.  You should look into that and see what level store you have and how much it is costing you each month.  Also are you on a month to month basis or a yearly subscription?

All important things for you to figure out ASAP.  You only have a few things up for sale and Stores are for a lot more listings on a regular basis or you are wasting your money.
