If the item sold, you need to message the buyer to be sure they know what the listing is really for. If they don't want what the listing was really for, then you cancel as Out of stock, because this was not a buyer cancel~it was because you made an error. Buyer cancels are when they changed their mind. Buyer may not have changed mind if the listing was correct.
Check your listings before you submit them to go live. Then check them again. Check to be sure all info, title, description, is correct and accurate. Be absolutely sure that all info is correct. This is a good practice for you as you might have avoided this situation had you caught it prior to the buyer purchasing.

Hi, i would contact the buyer to apologize and explain the error in the title, and reiterate that the photos and the description are correct. Theres a good chance they didnt notice the numbers being transposed and will want to continue with the transaction as is. If they do not want to continue, then you can cancel and refund, or you could always send them the altered quantity to avoid having to cancel and getting a defect.

I'd apologize and send 7 of each..........

Contact your buyer right away and explain politely the error; that it was an honest mistake; if she still wants to buy it; if she wants to cancel order.
She perhaps really wants 7 Colgate 3 Crest. If she says that she "doesn't want it", those words may be enough to cancel order for reason buyer's request to cancel.

Or maybe I am wrong after reading castlemagic's post.

@vetorhummer Clarify with the buyer and ask if they still want the items. If they are expecting what's in the title instead of photos & description then go to the store and buy the 4 missing tubes. Toothpaste should be easy enough to acquire to avoid an out of stock cancellation.

Title I see says:
3 Colgate 7 Crest Toothpaste Mixed Lot NIB 3d white whitening total bulk
I had to read it 6 or 7 times to see what you were referring to, so maybe the buyer didn't notice either and just bought a lot of 10 items without regard to the exact item count of each brand.

@anthemshop247 If your advice is based on avoiding a defect, that does not suffice as a buyer request!
Seller has 2 options - cancel for out of stock and take the defect, or fill the order.
A defect isnt a death sentence anyway. 😉

If you were the buyer, what would you want the seller to do? Do that.
