I'm selling for the first time in years. I should've done a lot more research because this has just turned into a giant headache. I've listed a PS5, but I realized that I want to change the auction duration, change my return policy, and add a "Buy It Now" price. Basically, I need to cancel the listing and create a new one to make these changes. Does anyone know, if I cancel this listing, will eBay let me list the item again immediately or will there be a waiting period because of the item in question being a PS5?

As others have advised you are seen by the scammers as a quasi new seller and this is without a doubt a HIGH target item. Your listing also states "seller does not accept returns". You may want to review the MBG again and fully understand what that means if the buyer files a NAD claim. No returns does not mean no refunds.
You are also shipping this UPS. If you ship using UPS advise you take the package to a UPS store rather than purchasing a UPS label through eBay. The eBay figures are estimates and there have been several postings about unilateral charges from UPS once the package has been shipped.
You would probably be better served by trying to sell this on a local forum where you don't have to worry about fees, shipping cost, damage, returns or scams.

eBay isn't he place to sell that item, unless you want to lose the item.

You have no bids so you can end it anytime. If you've had any communications from buyers about it, be sure to relist immediately.
You do have a $ amount limit being a 'new' seller (or old member with more than 90 days since last sale) and ending that may still count and you may not be able to relist. Probably try listing a new one with buy it now, immediate payment required (check mark the box- this is a must!), then cancel the other one.

Check now. I canceled the first listing and I relisted the item. I added a "Buy It Now" price, but I didn't see an additional "immediate payment required" checkbox that you mentioned. Did I miss something or does it look right? I think it did it automatically?

Honestly, that's the feeling I'm starting to get about this entire thing and pretty much that's the advice I've been given too. Maybe I should list on Facebook Marketplace and only use selling here as a backup?

You listed it with an auction and then added a 'buy it now' so there will be no box to check. Should've been listed as 'just' a 'buy it now'.
Since there was probably no reserve, the first person that bids $550, the buy it now price will disappear.
Local is good but by far by millions the amount of eyes that will be on it.

So if I relist it and list it 'just' as 'buy it now', I can still have people bid on it in case no one buys it now? Or what? Do I have to set a reserve?

Yep. This is just a big nightmare. I didn't realize how bad scammers and selling protection had gotten on eBay. I mean, I had heard, but this is just ridiculous. I'm just going to sell it locally.

Part of the reason it's a big nightmare is that you did not review eBay's selling information before listing.
Since you now plan to just list it on FB Marketplace, I will skip explaining the issues here.

My reading, or not reading, of eBay's selling information doesn't change how skewed the policies are in favor of scammers and the proven track record of eBay/PayPal in siding with scammers and buyers.

Although it now appears you plan on going another route; for future use:
There are NO bids on a Buy It Now listing. The purpose of this listing is you can click the 'Immediate Payment Required' and then you can ignore people sending you various scamming things or offers. If they do, you just respond with "The listing is a 'Buy It Now' with 'Immediate Payment Required' and I'm not interested in offers or selling it any other way"

I understand. I just didn't know/remember that there was not a way to set a "Buy It Now" price and allow continuous bidding simultaneously. Then again, I guess you're "supposed" to just do an auction and set a reserve price if that's what you want. Thank you for all of the information so far. I do appreciate it and realize that you're telling me a lot of information that I should've been able to find simply on my own.

Best decision, seriously, PS5 are really sought after and local should pose no problem at all getting a buuyer.
Also, no seller fee, no funds hold, no shipping (all of this eat's your profit) and you get cash when the buyer comes to purchase it - no more headaches, just cash.
