Time Away Sales

I set my store for time away for the holidays until the fourth. I left it so people could still purchase from me though. I was wondering how much this would affect sales, if they would slow down or completely stop until my return.

If you didn't,     You need to also change your handling time on every listing.  to 10 days.

When I go on vacation I leave them so buyers, can buy.   I change my handling time to reflect

  that the items won't be shipped till the day after I return from vacation.   

Sales?    I've had vacations where I had great sales and other times zero,  nada,  bupkis.
